About Waypoint Recovery Center

Our fundamental principles and practices are built on the disease concept of addiction. Addiction should be treated as a chronic disease, not an acute episode. We understand that substance use disorders can disrupt a person’s life and the lives of their loved ones. We’re here to help you and your family understand more fully how to manage, gain support for, and adequately treat addiction. We believe the first step is to instill hope for change – inspiration that a new way of living is possible.

What Our Patients Say About Us

Okay so I came to this amazing place on the 26th of September. I was desperate, sick of using ( opiates, fentanyl were my DOC) I was just done, did not want to use anymore. So I found this place and from the very moment I called them to the moment they seen me off to my next facility I felt the love from these people. Y'all I am telling you from the people who answer the phones all the way to the cleaning lady (Mrs T. Croft I love you girl! I found an AMAZING church and a sponsor already I carry that bible YOU GAVE ME everyday!) these people care! They even came all the way to North Augusta South Carolina to PICK ME UP! They loved me when I couldn't love myself, full of shame and guilt, anger, sadness, unworthiness I was just barley hanging on. But these wonderful Godsent people showed me compassion, love, and concern. I also checked the reviews before I got there and I kept seeing people saying " this place saved my life" numerous times in different reviews. Well I am very proud and honored to say that I got EXACTLY that. I highly recommend Waypoint Recovery Center to ANYONE sick and suffering from this disease of addiction. You will learn so much about addiction and yourself which is very very important. If you give this place your all, an I mean you got to put some effort too it's not a magic genie that just heals you, but the love and mercy and STRENGTH GOD or (higher power) gives you when your ready you will see some light at the end of your tunnel. I can't speak for everyone but I can speak for me and this place works if you work it! They have a really cool app to stay connected once you finish the program. Staying connected is a HUGE part of recovery y'all, you will learn that. The counselors are amazing and believe it or not a lot of the workers have their OWN beautiful story and can really relate to you. That right there speaks volumes especially to the addict. The nursing staff is truly amazing once they read this they will know exactly who I am talking about lol but they truly treat you like a person not a number or a paycheck, these people 110% care and love you. The BHAs are another set of truly amazing people. I could go on and on y'all but special shout outs to Mrs Candy, Mrs Brandy, Mrs Tish, Mr Scott, Mr Lane, Mr Jared, Mrs Stephanie, Mrs Mandy, Mrs Alecia, Mrs Delphine, Mrs Taylor, Mrs KeKe, Mrs Kennedy, Mrs Shae, Mrs Tara, Mr D (BHA), Mr Tripp, Mr Elliot and both Matt's! y'all the list goes on an on for the ones I did not mention I love each of yall and want to thank yall for EVERYTHING. 5 stars!! this place is AMAZING!

This place saved my life. The staff is top notch and were such a saving grace. I met some amazing women who were such an inspiration. I would recommend this place to anyone who was lost and felt hopeless. They are not just a treatment center they are caring and helpful to navigate the rocky road of addiction.

skeptical of how this place was and what to expect.the 30 days I signed up for. It was the best thing that I could’ve ever done. The staff, the nurses, the RA‘s. Everyone had open arms to me to help me with recovery. They needed to make my stay comforting and they did.I have now graduated and have been out a week and a half and I am following the steps in the AA 12 step program and I’ve gotten a sponsor like they preached to me that this is what you need to learn so that you don’t go back to the life that you left. It is working and I and my family thank all of waypoint staff for showing me this.

First off, I want to say THIS IS rehab. Not the Ritz. I had zero expectations of Waypoint before I arrived there, except for the fact that there were horses. Well, there are no horses on the property; however, you have an opportunity to earn the right to go on an outing and work with horses. That was very nice learning about them and about myself. Great Experience! Thank you, Mrs.Candy, for all the outings and special events you plan for the patients at Waypoint. Without you, your sacrifices and your personal testimony that you walk and live everyday, things would be boring! 💕💕💕 It took a little bit of time for me to adjust to how Waypoint is run, but I made it. Again, I say, this is rehab and I feel that it is designed to make us feel uncomfortable in areas so we can really get down and focus on our sobriety. One thing that I realized while I was there was that the reason I was there was because of negative choices I made in my life. Had I not made those choices, I would not need Waypoint. But, I did! I had the absolute best counselor ever, Catalina. She went above and beyond for her patients as well as those that weren’t hers. 100% understanding, compassionate, friendly and tough when needed. Again….rehab! Everything that Catalina told me that she was going to do, she did. I wasn’t used to that so it was a very welcome experience for me. She taught me things about myself that either I had forgotten or never realized. Catalina gave me so much needed advice to use when I got out and it all has been working wonderfully!! She made my time at Waypoint so much easier. She will always be a part of my life story! I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to go to Waypoint for my recovery and even more grateful to be home….sober and alive! Thank you all for the hard work and dedication.

Mikayla! You have been such a pleasure to work with over the phone, I would like to start this off by saying no, I did not end up coming to this facility due to finding a place that was a little closer to home but they went above and beyond to make sure that I was going to receive the help that I needed, I did not have the full funds needed to get in to this facility and they were willing to work with me every step of the way. They kept full communication and updates throughout the day of me trying to get in somewhere. Even if I weren't able to come there, they were willing to make sure that I found a place and the help that I so desperately needed! I'm sure as many of you know places get good and bad reviews, but as far as far as I can see this place deserves over 10 stars just for the respect that they gave me throughout the whole process of trying to find a place to go! If you need help and you don't know where to start, please call waypoint recovery! Even if you can't get in, they will go above and beyond to find you a place. They even offer transportation today October 1st of 2024 I received a text message from McKayla that they were willing to take me regardless of what we had to do with the financial part of things and for that I will always respect them knowing I have a place to fall back on. If my first one doesn't work out gives me so much peace of mind and hope!!!!!
