I do want to start off by saying that I am an alumni of this program, and now that I have just celebrated 1 year working at Resilience Recovery Resources, the admiration that I have for the staff, clinical and housing personal alike have sky rocketed tenfold.
When I was a client, I was the oldest guy in the room. There was no young adult program and I spent the majority of my time in group with kids that were three fourths my age. I thought I had everything figured out and was getting frustrated that I had to spend my time "baby sitting". Until one of the case managers gave me a different perspective.
He gave me the opportunity to look through a completely different lens. He taught my how to be a role model, a peer leader, and more importantly how to be a proper man. Through his guidance, I was able to create a home meeting called "Steel sharpens Steel" where clients of all ages got together and brainstormed ways to strengthen our community. The staff gave me the resources through schooling, therapy & community building exercises to turn myself from an immature 23 year old into a 24 year old who values honesty and integrity in all walks of life.
I would not be the type of man that I am today, if it was not for the staff and peers that I got to meet along the way of my spiritual journey. And now coming back full circle, as a full time employee, it gives me great joy to say that Resilience recovery saved my life. In more ways than one.
Resilience Recovery Resources has truly changed my life in every possible way. When I reached a point where my life was going nowhere and I didn’t know where to turn, this program was there for me immediately. From day one, they knew exactly what I needed and made me feel understood, supported, and safe. The level of care and personal attention I received here is unlike anything I’ve experienced in any other program.
Resilience helped me address every area of my life, from addiction and mental health, to trauma and emotional healing. But they went far beyond just treating symptoms. They helped shape me into the man I am today. They taught me what self-love really means, how to deal with life on life’s terms, and how to break free from the mindset and behaviors that were holding me back for so long.
One of the most powerful parts of this program is how personalized it is. This isn’t a one size fits all approach. The staff work hard to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs, goals, and pace. Every therapist, counselor, and group facilitator I worked with showed genuine care and commitment to helping me grow. I never felt like “just another client” I felt seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.
They also focus heavily on life skills and preparing you for long-term success beyond the program. Whether it’s helping you figure out your next steps in life, finding a job, continuing education, or living independently, Resilience gives you the tools and connections you need to move forward with confidence. They don’t just help you get sober, they help you build a meaningful, sustainable life.
This is hands down the best program I’ve ever been part of. The growth I’ve experienced mentally, emotionally, and spiritually is something I didn’t think was possible before coming here. If you’re struggling with addiction, mental health, trauma, or just feeling lost in life, know that you’re not alone. I thought I was, until the incredible team at Resilience Recovery Resources took me in and reintroduced me to a new way of living.
I will forever be grateful to this program. They didn’t just help me recover, they gave me my life back, and set me up for a future I can be proud of.
I got out of resilience about 5-6 months ago and I truly believe resilience saved my life. Resilience taught me how to be a man, it taught me how to clean, cook, take care of myself, do laundry, diet, build muscle💪. But most importantly resilience taught me ways to deal with my problems without using. Day by day. One day at a time. I did AMA from resilience without parental consent when I turned 18, I came home and lived at a friends while my parents would not allow me home. I showed my parents I was positive in my recovery and I worked my butt off and graduated high school, I walked the stage and after that my mom had told me she wanted me to come home, I had showed her consistency for 2 months staying at my friends that I could stay strong in my recovery. Currently my family has an amazing relationship where there is trust, loyalty and accountability to the family, they trust me enough to drive their car WHEREVER and WHENEVER! I was blessed enough to get a job as a salesman where I am very well off now to be on my own, but I’m young and still building my parents relationships back! I don’t want to leave anytime soon yet! When your happiness is always up, you will be high, it’s a happiness high that feels like it doesn’t go away. Resilience gave me the tools of things change to be able to deal with my emotions and problems in a healthy way. Don’t blink to fast or you’ll already be gone.
Resilience Recovery Resources helped me turn my entire life around and change for the better, becoming a young man in the process. When I came to Resilience I was broken and a shell of a human being and really did not know how to live without drugs or alcohol. I was afraid of change, I was afraid to live around other people, I was afraid of structure and I was afraid of growth. I honestly did not know where to start to begin my journey either. I tried other treatment centers before and still was stuck in the same cycle. Luckily when I came through those doors there was a clinical team and a group of men at housing who had my same experience and knowledge of solution and were more than willing to give that to me if I was willing to listen. The clinical team is educated about the disease of addiction and the process to get better. The housing staff is personable, caring, and was always there for anything I needed day or night, right or wrong. I was really welcomed into a family when I came to Resilience and it was not something I expected or something I really thought I needed. Without Resilience I would still be stuck in that same cycle of addiction. For that I am forever indebted to this program and the people who work there and I am eternally grateful.
Resilience truly changed my life. I came in struggling with addiction and a broken relationship with my mom, and I left with hope, healing, and real progress. The staff are incredible — kind, supportive, and genuinely care about each person. The community there made me feel less alone and reminded me that recovery is possible. One of the most meaningful parts was reconnecting with my mom, something I didn’t think was possible before. I’m beyond grateful for everything Resilience helped me through.
