One of the better rehabs I've been to and I've been to a few. They have iPads for each individual and a TV lounge room for down time in between meetings so it can keep the mind busy. Speaking of which, they offered activities such as arts and crafts, yoga, decorating cookies, listening to live musicians and singers, coloring sheets,(while i was there) worksheets, puzzles, NA meetings, mandatory groups throughout the day, and much more. (I forgot her name, but the the rooms are cleaned daily by a very kind, tiny but strong lady. Definitely need to give her a raise and keep her around and hire more housekeepers for deep cleaning cause there's mildew in the bathroom and the shower floors are disgusting and gave me foot fungus. Some of these ladies in rehab/detox do NOT know how to clean up after themselves and will cause a lot of trouble between the ones that like their rooms and bathrooms tidy)
85% of the staff were amazing and very attentive to personal requests and needs and were on top of everything. Kudos and cookies for you all! Especially Juliana; case manager, Mike; younger one with the glasses, Antwon, Jesseeeee~~, the nurses, laundry staff and housekeepers.
However, the remaining 15% needs to check their attitudes and tone of voice when addressing clients and their concerns. I get that their jobs can get very stressful, and they're only human, but in a facility that deals with people with drug addiction problems with physical and mental withdrawal symptoms, and psychiatric diagnoses, a warmer tone and better communication would help immensely, for we are human and loved by God too.
The store run policy of only being able to pick up cigarettes only one time during the whole 28 day, or 28+7 cigarettes got to go.
Some people got family members, friends or partners sending them money bits by bits to prevent them from leaving the program and buying drugs with it. Please also allow clients to buy snacks or drinks of their preference, under the supervision of staffs.
Other than those few complaints, like I've said before, this is one of the better rehab centers located in NYC that accepts Medicaid.

~~ATTENTION~~
While yes the facility has tablets with Netflix, Spotify, and SOME with Soundcloud I want to make this very known...
-BLUETOOTH HEAD PHONES DO NOT WORK ON THE TABLETS--
--NO BS--
It will show up in the pairing Bluetooth device list but when you try to ACTUALLY pair the device it will "attempt" to, only for it to say "cannot pair device" or "unable to pair device" but if your headphones came with an AUX cord to plug into and audio jack, I HIGHLY ADVISE YOU TAKE THAT B/ WITH YOU, also to those of you who have Air pods of any type I know you love 'em and you want to use them and etc, but I'm telling you now, just go get a cheap-o pair of wired earbuds get 2 if you have too because chances are they might out if you ask for a pair.
If they tell you over the phone that Bluetooth headphones work, I'm here to tell you NO THEY DON'T!
AND Before I forget FIX YOUR SOUNDCLOUD !!! It should not sit on the logo for forever and a day and NOT DO ANYTHING, IT DOESN'T EVEN LOAD!! Even when it was left alone during 3rd floor lunch it didn't do jack--s
I'm putting this out there so everyone knows,
I'M NOT CHANGING MY REVIEW UNTIL I GET MY ANSWERS
Thank you and have a good day
Be safe out there
