The Ranch Pennsylvania

The Ranch Pennsylvania is so much more than just a treatment center—this place genuinely saved my life, and I will always be grateful for the weeks I spent there. From the moment I arrived, the beautiful facilities and peaceful grounds made me feel safe and at ease. I especially loved spending time in the meditation barn and walking the premises; those moments helped me reconnect with myself in ways I never could have imagined. The therapists are absolutely incredible, and Amber and Dara were instrumental in my healing process. They didn’t just teach me about recovery—they helped me uncover what I truly needed to begin to heal. The atmosphere at The Ranch is warm and supportive, with staff and fellow clients who care deeply and form real friendships. Approaching two years of sobriety, I still cherish the connections I made at The Ranch Pennsylvania and stay in touch with many wonderful people from my time there. I truly can't thank this place enough for everything it’s given me.

The DBT-based clinical curriculum at The Ranch is spectacular. And the manner in which the highly qualified therapists and other staff members demonstrate its application to SA recovery is an absolute game-changer. If you pay attention and do the work, you will learn a plethora of skills to help you Recognize, Regulate and Respond to your body, thoughts, and emotions which will improve how you relate to yourself, others and events which serve as triggers. And it doesn't end there, because there are others on Staff who come with their own knowledge in other areas which serves to supplement the written materials/classes with real, lived experience. These people are caring, engaging, compassionate AND passionate about the work they do. The BHTs, Nurses, Chefs/kitchen staff and adjunct contractors all serve the needs of the clients with the goal of helping you begin on a journey of wellness and resiliency . I didn't go to there to make friends, but it was impossible to avoid., and for that,--and all of the above-- I will be forever filled with gratitude.

The Ranch is a uniquely beautiful treatment program and place. I had the chance to change my life here. The staff met me more than halfway and truly cared. Shout out Mike, Sean, and Tamiko. I’ve never experienced a better place for when you are broken. The Ranch is safe, informative, clean, and accommodating. There’s no comparison if you are struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health.

I cannot say enough great things about The Ranch; as someone who has had a root issue of mental illness and struggled with substance abuse in the past. When substance abuse was not an issue, but there were lingering mental demons not related to/caused by substance use there was no doubt in my mind that the average treatment center would not excise the root cause of my anxiety and covert depression. Many places will advertise mental health treatment, but The Ranch has a completely separate track for mental health that did for me in 18 days what almost 30 years of counseling and treatment could not do!! Most importantly; they not only gave me the tools to use, but they show me how to use them specifically for my mind and personality. I felt comfortable in my own skin for the first time since I was 7 years old within 24 hours, and I attribute that entirely to their holistic approach in addition to the clinical groups. I cannot say enough about how effective the entire treatment plan was for me, but being ADHD I found the experiential groups and the somatic healing to be mind blowing as it helped with trust issues and demonstrated how to meditate and incorporate breathing exercises that have me starting my days and finishing them with total peace/relaxation for both my mind and body. If I ever start to slip, or have a friend/loved one in the throws of mental illness of any type I will wholeheartedly be pushing them to call The Ranch PA!!

Would recommend to anyone as their first choice of treatment for mental health and/or addiction treatment. Definitely the better choice over anything else within a 200 mile radius.
