About The Owl’s Nest Alcohol & Drug Addiction Treatment Center Florence SC
Owl’s Nest Recovery (formerly known as The Owl’s Nest and Owl’s Club International) was founded in 2001 as an alternative to the typical residential addiction treatment center. Our founder had spent many years and countless dollars seeking recovery at more than 25 drug and alcohol rehabs with no long-term success. But, after working the Twelve Steps through Alcoholics Anonymous, he finally found relief — and decided to start The Owl’s Nest to help other families avoid the painful cycle of unsuccessful addiction treatment attempts.
Originally a 12-bed recovery house for men, the program was designed around the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous — with an emphasis on personal responsibility, self-discipline, and community. Fueled by its initial success, the program quickly grew to include addiction treatment programs for men and women, as well as vocational rehabilitation and transitional living options. Over time, as it grew, it began to weave other modalities of addiction treatment into its program, such as individual counseling from Masters-level therapists, psychoeducational groups, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, case management, and life skills training across a continuum of care.
Today, Owl’s Nest Recovery offers a total of 110 beds at our peaceful campus in Florence, SC. We remain privately owned, with a commitment to providing an environment and culture of compassionate healing that allows each individual to focus on their recovery from addiction and mental health issues.
To that end, we provide addiction treatment and evidence-based practices combining total abstinence with clinical psychotherapy and a dynamic approach to the Twelve Step model of recovery. The end result is a new freedom and happiness — the likes of which many of our clients have never known.
We offer a variety of treatment types customized to the needs of each individual client.
