Sandstone Care Virginia Detox

My name is Billy, I did about 16 days in sandstone care in Virginia, at first it was rough cause I was in detox and I didn’t click much with the patients and staff but after a few days I really started getting along with everyone. As long as you respect the staff and your fellow patients then they will treat you with that same respect. With that being said the staff, nurses, providers and therapists were absolutely awesome. I had such a positive recovery and the extra work that all the staff put in to me gave me faith for continuing sobriety and not relapsing. I am 23 days clean of kratom and vaping/smoking cigarettes. If not for this facility I believe I would still be in dark place continuing to throw my physical and mental health away. Absolutely an amazing place, Tina, amber, Jacob, heather, ms.V, joval, Ty, and many more are really just absolutely and unbelievably amazing human beings who don’t just see this as a job, it’s very clear that they enjoy their work and are more than willing to put in the extra work to patients that are serious about recovery. 5 stars for a great facility who contain even greater people.

By far the Best staff ever. They’re very caring to your needs, feelings emotions and struggles through these difficult time. They are encouraging and motivational! I would recommend them to everyone looking for a brighter future….

Really enjoyed the staff there. Everyone seemed to be very competent, compassionate and kind. The meals were for the most part ok, yet some left a lot to be desired.( I.e. yellow meatloaf. ) Need less salty snacks and more fresh fruit and Crudités. Sand Stone was clean, comfortable as well as reasonable when it came to cell phones (camera was blacked out with sticker) TV’s are in each room. Ample smoke breaks if you smoke ( I don’t anymore) but at least I could get fresh air. All in all I’m elated I decided to check in. I’ve been sober since day 1 there and have not looked back once.

The staff and the program at sandstone care literally saved my life. The staff honestly care that you are comfortable, cared for, and successful in recovery. Each and every one of them are amazing people. This was my first time in rehab and I walked away with so much education, medical attention to my depression, and a plan to follow to remain sober. God bless each and every one of them! As for the program itself, I can't say one thing that I would change because the program was truly effective for me personally. I wish I could name each and every person that was instrumental in helping me, but it would be the complete staff list. Again everyone there really cares and are true professionals with a heart. If you are afraid to make that step through the door please don't hesitate to do so as it was the best step I've taken in my entire life. all of the people i know that have been here have all had positive experiences with this place. They have great groups from having great therapists that know how to challenge you. One thing that’s important about any treatment facility is the staff as they are the ones you end up interacting with the most and out of all the places I’ve been to (3, hopefully the last) this place has been the most compassionate and personable with people that truly care about the work they do from the therapists to the techs.
