About Project Turnabout Minnesota

This program separates men and women when treating them for addiction and co-occuring disorders. Women and men face their own unique, sensitive issues that could create barriers to recovery if treated together. Each gender has opportunities to participate in tailored inpatient and transitional living homes.

Where to start? Well first off treatment is not easy for anyone, it's a difficult process to say the least! Emotions run high and some of the policies are dumb as hell, but every place has policies that seem kind of ridiculous. When you really get down to it and dig into Project Turnabout-"PTAB" Wow, a lot of the counselors are really great. Actually I had the best counselor in my life there. Like 90% of the Techs are employees are recovering addicts who are really cool and supportive to be around. The atmosphere is awesome, the hiking trails and the peacefulness in nature is amazing. Literally sometimes the deer stand like 10 feet away from you. The food is pretty awesome! Are there bad moments yes, but that's going to happen anywhere, the good far outweighs the bad. I would highly recommend this place. Shout out to Mary, Lisa, Mandi, CJ, AJ, Kirsten, Bunny and of course Joe! Truly thank you to all the staff.

This place helped change me in so many ways. Helped with my addiction, my self esteem and codependency. The bonds you make with the women and the friends you make was great. If you take it seriously, this program does work. Do the work, put in the effort and make a change! 12 years sober and it’s great. Highly recommend this place.

This place is a life saver! I would definitely recommend Ptab to anybody struggling with addiction. They helped me learn how to be honest with myself and gave me tools for a better life. They also helped guide me onto the next step after treatment which for me was outpatient with sober living. The staff truly care about their patients. If you're ready to get serious about making your life better they will be there every step of the way!
