Oxford Treatment Center

I've been to four inpatient recovery institutions and the Etta campus of OTC was by far the best. The facilities themselves, from the cabins, to the barn and equine buildings, to the dining hall, were all extraordinary. The campus truly has the feel of a camp/resort. The meals were tasty and plentiful. The residential accommodations were comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. From a programming standpoint, I was particularly impressed with the 12 Step Walk, music therapy, and equine therapy. In accordance with the 12 Steps (Alcoholics Anonymous) OTC incorporates a spiritual (not overtly religious) component that I considered integral to recovery. My therapist was a Christian minister, but he didn't impose his religious beliefs upon those to whom he administered care. Some residents chose to participate in group prayer. It was strictly voluntary and in no way interfered with or imposed upon those who did not wish to participate. I found the spiritual component of the program to be nurturing, noninvasive, and helpful. My overall experience at OTC was positive, and I can't imagine that one could find a better facility in the state.

I would highly recommend Oxford Treatment Center to anyone as long as they aren't full to capacity with 120 clients! After that it's a mad house I don't think they were ready for, but they rolled with the punches and genuinely more grace than I could've. The staff are down to earth and very helpful without them there wouldn't be a worthwhile program. The nurses are more than knowledgeable and very compassionate even though we might not realize much in detox. In all seriousness of it wasn't for their detox program I I'd hate to think where a lot of us could've ended up. I learned so much in just my 30 days there that I still carry with me, that I signed up for another tour of duty! If that doesn't show my support and faith in Oxford Treatment Center then I don't know any words that could. Shout out to Summer the best tech imaginable! Also I've got to give it to Hank for his Hijacked Brain classes I wish he'd put on YouTube...Hank! If you're looking for somewhere that will make an impact on you look no further. Completing their program is an accomplishment I'll look back on for years.

Glad I chose this place of all the places AAC had to offer. The staff and programs were absolutely amazing and insightful. If it wasn't for Miss Vicki, I honestly would have left the first week I was there, My counselor Jewell was great to work with, Process groups with Forrest were unforgettable..Satisfied and grateful with whom I ended up working with and helped me along my journey. Happy to say I successfully completed 30 days here, got to meet some great people and will never forget this experience and glad to have started my road to recovery here ! GREEN GROUP !

10/10 would recommend. The emersion in recovery culture with extremely structured days, a wide variety of experts to help you not only with the emotional aspect but adding on a science approach. It's huge! My husband and I did the couples program and it not only saved our lives but our relationships. Not only can we communicate better but the trust and respect it built between us is huge! Going on 2+ years of sobriety and no desire to look back. We thank all of our counselors and our peers there at the time. It was Welcoming, Loving, Safe, and a place to heal. If your insurance will pay or you can afford a payment plan and are ready for your life to change DO IT.

I was a hopeless addict when I arrived at this facility. They're are by far the best group of people I have meet in my life. I received the best medical treatment ever and counseling. I ve continued my recovery journey here in Oxford Mississippi and the recovery community is the best I've ever experienced I recommend this residential treatment for anyone who has lost hope this place gave me my life back.
