Some of the staff are truly incredible people, the front desk Gina is phenomenal for starters. The cooks Laura and Ebony are amazing. Nursing staff like Gloria, Danielle, and Steph really care about every person they are there helping. Ian, Chloe, Scott, Jen-there really are so many. There will always be the bad with the good in any situation but I can say the good definitely outweighed the bad. Lumiere helped save my life and for that I am forever grateful.

I am a graduate and cannot say enough about the quality of care and dedication of the staff. Excellent recovery enrichment. The facility and food are top notch. There are chapters of my life I don’t revisit often. Not because I’ve forgotten them, but because I remember them so clearly. Lumiere Healing Center sits in one of those chapters. Recovery wasn’t a single decision for me. It was a thousand decisions, some brave, some reluctant, some made one shaky day at a time. My path brought me through Lumiere more than once, and looking back now, I’m grateful it did. What I found there wasn’t perfection. It was people. Real people who looked beyond the addiction, beyond the mistakes, beyond the story I was carrying about myself. They saw a human being who was still worth saving, even when I wasn’t entirely convinced of it. The staff offered something that can’t be measured on a brochure or a website: hope. Not the loud, flashy kind. The quiet kind. The kind that sits beside you when your life feels broken and whispers, “Let’s try again tomorrow.” Today, I have a life that feels honest. I have peace I once thought belonged to other people. I laugh more. I sleep better. I believe in the future again. Recovery gave me those gifts, but Lumiere was one of the places where the foundation was poured. If you’re reading this because you’re struggling, or because someone you love is, please hear me: your story is not over. There is still another chapter waiting to be written. My dad is over a year sober!! So thankful for the people that work here. He told me about how a lot of the staff had relatable stories to him. It was so difficult taking him to doctor’s appointments or getting help in general knowing how harshly he was being judged. He didn’t feel that way at all here. I think he found comfort in knowing that they have been in his shoes. I’ll never stop recommending this place. The staff here deserve the world. 💕

Google has me listed as Leslie Simpson, but it’s actually Leslie Carter now. I greatly appreciate all that Lumiere has done for me. I want to give a shout out to all the staff for doing everything in their power to keep me safe and comfortable. Their patience and compassion goes beyond measure. I want to name drop a few for special recognition, but please do not think that any staff not mentioned is seen as anything less… Ian, I think it’s great how you stay in touch with clients after residential treatment. You’ve also been so supportive and encouraging. I’m not sure how I feel about Monday Morning Meditation, but I know your heart is in the right place. 😆 Dana, you are absolutely amazing and inspiring! I felt so lucky having you down in the trenches with all of us. You brighten gloomy days and make the happy days even happier. ♥️ Danielle and Stephanie, thank you for harassing doctors and pharmacies for me. 🤣 Laura, you remembered my name from over a year ago and I was only there for detox. Thank you for all the fancy meals and genuine smiles. 😊 Ebony, when you cook, you can taste the love and comfort in the meal. I’m going to miss our fun chats and hearing your laugh. You made my day each and every day I saw you. ♥️ To all of the case managers, counselors, medical personnel, BHTs, and anyone else I was in contact with, thank you for everything. Thank you for the impact you had on me. I highly recommend Lumiere to anyone who suffers from alcoholism/addiction.
