Amazing

This place was absolutely Amazing. Staff are almost all in recovery themselves with good time. The group therapy was super in depth and the food was better than what I usually eat at home. Shouts out John, Michelle, Joe, Kevin and Gary! Highly recommend sending oneself or your loved ones to this facility for treatment if looking to get adequate help!

So a close friend of mine was at this place. Me being familiar with my own journeys down the old recovery road was curious when he told me the name of it. I'd never even heard of the place. But I'll tell you what I do know. My friend is a tough shell to crack. It's not easy for ANYONE to get him to really open up and not see things so black and white. The change that has taken place in him in such a short time is actually quite inspirational. Sometimes it kind of doesn't quite make sense that I'm speaking to the same person I seen just months earlier. He brings up one name in particular. Huntington Creek has a Tech named John. All I know is that John, whoever you are, you're changing lives my guy. You're giving lives back. You gave one of the sweetest little girls her father back. If someone is reading this thinking they'd like to find a more intimate place to get clean where they have a staff that sees them as a person and not just another number on the quota board for next quarters funding. Head to Huntington Creek and find this guy John. I'm sure you won't regret it. Thanks John. Hope you see this.

I went to HCRC for rehab for 6 weeks, for alcohol and benzo addiction. It was not the first time I've been in rehab, and it was the best one I've been to. John and Michelle are two of the night techs, they madr a huge impact on me, they truly love and care about their job and can repate to what you are going through, as they are in recovery as well. 90% of the staff is in recovery and it made a HUGE difference. The food is decent and everyone is really laid back, which allows you to find your own way to recovery. The facility is beautiful as well, which helps. They have a ropes course which has 10 different obstacles, which help you to find confidence in yourself and to trust others. Overall it was a wonderful experience, I've been sober 44 days and I have no desire to drink.

Huntington Creek is the best facility you can possibly go to. I’ve been there twice right now. I am 60 days sober thanks to gritty Ryan Steph, Haley, Mike, Lisa, Brandon and Gary and Donna. I absolutely love Huntington Creek and miss it so much. It was so much fun and I learned so much. I hope I can work there in the future. 🙏❤️

The smaller, comfortable, woodsy setting paired with fun outdoor and indoor activities made me feel at ease almost like a return to a therapeutic summer camp. When transferred at the and to the much larger, stricter Pocono Mountain Recovery Center (PMRC) affiliated location during my last week, I found myself counting down each day there until I could leave as I felt cooped up in an uncomfortable environment. However, I spoke to some who much preferred the larger group environment at PMRC so to each their own. I learned a lot about myself and how to identify my triggers while putting into practice new coping skills. They also have this biofeedback bed which was an essential tool for me to keep anxiety at bay. The biobed uses guided meditation, sound, and vibrations and got me back in track with my previously waning meditation practice. If you go, definitely try the biobed for at least session. Only con for me was that I was required to taper and cease taking a long term script I’d had for a benzodiazepine prescribed for anxiety. This requirement wasn’t unique to Huntington Creek as all inpatients I considered said the same.
