What Our Patients Say About Us

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. The counselors, monitors, everyone was so kind and genuinely cared. The facility was beautiful and comfortable. The classes were the best part, so informative and the counselors who taught them were passionate. You keep your phone, vape, cigarettes if that’s your thing and are allowed to go outside any time you want. You aren’t treated like a prisoner. Their motto is your an adult and are expected to act like one, hence the freedom they give you. Simple as that. If you want to leave the gate will open. You will not be harassed. Thankfully, the majority of clients there have a desire to be sober and take it very seriously. Also the food was too good!

P.S. shout out my girl counselor Ginny!! She’s an angel.

I highly recommend Harris House Recovery Center

I highly recommend Harris House Recovery Center. for both inpatient and outpatient treatment. The environment is amazing. The staff welcomes clients promptly easing any fear or hesitation. They make sure that the client has everything they need when entering treatment. Clients are treated with respect and as adults.
The counselors are always available and ready to share their knowledge and experience. The classes are very informative and interactive. I recommend anyone who may be facing a crises to call Harris House and receive the help clients
deserve.

First off, this is my first time doing inpatient treatment. I was impressed with Harris House immediately. From getting all setup, the staff interactions, the thorough and organized registration process, fellow clients passing by and smiling... I knew I made the right choice for myself. I will be eternally humbled and grateful for the friendships I made while there, and all of the support from staff as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The staff are really nice, they do care about your well-being. I just don’t think this is the right place for fentanyl/methadone users but then again, there’s so few rehabs that will work with your methadone prescription. The doctor had prescribed me subutex on day 1, which I refused because I know that I would go into precipitated withdrawals (if you don’t know what that is just thank god, I would never wish it on my worst enemy). So I waited until day 4 to which myself the doctor and nurses were in agreement shoildve been long enough, it wasn’t… I immediately went through hell. There was a counselor there during that time I hope she reads this cuz she motivated and inspired me that I would get through it. If you read this thank you, your the one person there that actually seemed to care about my well being and I’m sorry I left but i just can’t swap a drug (methadone) for another drug (subboxone) and put myself through torture when the methadone was working just fine for me. I want you to know I didn’t leave to just go get high and that I just needed my methadone. Your words really did inspire me and I haven’t touched any other drug besides the methadone which btw brought immediate relief back to me. I know I let you guys down but worst yet I let my family down… only people that had an opiate addiction can truly understand what that sickness is really like, it’s not just 5 days detox abd you feel normal agsin. I’ve done this before and I was sick an entire month before finally getting subboxone which again is just a substitute just like methadone. I promise you and all the staff there that I’ve beaten this before, and I’m going to do it again. I appreciate what the staff did but I know there’s a better way to go about this. I just don’t agree with the choice of medication I received and I’m fairly certain I can speak for most opiate patients, even if they made it through, I just don’t see the point in putting myself into precip on purpose. You said yourself I had a weak pulse when I collapsed in the elevator… god I hste precip man it’s the worst thing I have ever ever experienced in my life! Just know I’m not gonna let my time there go to waste, I will remain sober and I will kick the methadone too. Thank you again and thanks to everyone really even the patients helped me out. The building and the rooms and the food were excellent, just my recommendation if someone comes there on methadone maybe coordinate with the methadone clinic get likr 2 weeks or even a weeks worth of their methadone doses and help them taper off that opposed to forcing them into a drug that is basically the same thing but you have to go through hell to make that work and even then that patient will most likely be hooked on subboxone for years to come, I was… idk just a suggestion I’ve actually talked w another rehab facility who’s willing to do Just that. The key to beating methadone and even fentanyl is to make the user as comfortable as humanly possible. Work with them not against them… I hope the staff and doctors read this and really take my advice into consideration. It’s dangerous man, the way you guys currently do it. I know ppl that have had seizures literally almost died by medicating them the same way you medicated me. I know you guys had my best interest at heart and I truly appreciate it and like I said I’m not gonna let this go to waste. I’m gonna beat this. And I just want to thank you guys again for Doing what you guys Believe is the best way to do it, but I promise you guys it’s not. It’s not a good way to get off this shit. Please just take my advice and consideration I beg you just for your future, patience, sake, and safety It’s like I said it’s dangerous And any opiate addict can attest for that I promise you. Thanks again…
