What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
I cannot speak highly enough about the amazing support I received from Alton, the Lead House Manager, and Evie, the Business Development Executive & Supervisor over House of Harmony, during my time at Harmony Recovery. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication played a pivotal role in my recovery journey.
Alton, as the Lead House Manager, created an environment that was structured yet incredibly supportive. From the moment I arrived, he made sure I felt comfortable and safe. Alton’s leadership was consistently calm, understanding, and patient, which helped me navigate some of the most difficult moments of my recovery. He was always available to listen, provide guidance, and offer practical advice, which was invaluable to my progress. His presence gave me a sense of stability and peace throughout my stay.
Evie, in her role as the Business Development Executive & Supervisor over House of Harmony, was a true beacon of support and encouragement. She went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed to succeed. Evie took the time to understand my unique challenges and tailored her guidance to fit my individual needs. She was there to offer encouragement, celebrate my achievements, and provide constructive advice whenever needed. Her leadership, combined with her caring nature, made me feel like I was more than just another client—she genuinely cared about my success and well-being.
Together, Alton and Evie made a huge impact on my recovery experience. They not only provided the structure and guidance necessary for me to focus on my goals, but they also made sure I had the emotional support to stay motivated and positive. Their combined expertise, along with their genuine passion for helping others, has made a lasting difference in my life.
I am beyond grateful for everything Alton and Evie have done for me, and I am confident that their support will continue to help countless others find success at Harmony Recovery. Thank you both for being such an essential part of my recovery journey!
I came to Harmony Recovery center to receive help for my addiction. It was certainly a challenge to admit and leave my past behind. Harmony and the amazing staff helped to receive what I needed. I met some awesome people at Harmony. The most important thing about recovery is you have to want it really bad and you will get it!
Alumni Peggy, aka, my guardian angel. I honestly don't know where I'd be today if it weren't for her efforts of helping me AND my husband Spencer achieve and maintain sobriety. When I found Harmony, Peggy reached out to me and made sure that we knew everything was going to be okay. We are now two months sober and still going strong because of her efforts, solely. I love her to death and honestly, my husband and I would either be dead in a ditch somewhere or would still be actively using if she had never found the two of us in this program. Peggy is literally a guardian angel and I owe her so much. I don't know what I'd do without her.
I love you Peggy!!
I was in pretty bad shape and at one of the lowest points in my life, when I decided to reach out to Harmony Recovery Center. I feel that my experience there saved my life and started me on my path toward healing. After contacting HRC, Ms. Peggy and Ms. Denice immediately reached out to me and encouraged me to join the program. Ms. Peggy was so supportive while I was struggling to make the decision to attend Harmony and is still supportive even after I’ve graduated; I am so thankful for her. Ms. Denice guided me through the entire enrollment process and helped me book my flight there.
I was welcomed into the Harmony community by Dr. Laurie, the Clinical Director, and Jasmine, my intake manager, and I immediately felt safe in the warm friendly atmosphere there. I appreciated that the program provided housing, since I was coming from out of town.
Of the many counselors and facilitators, I owe a special thank you to Dr. Rob, who encouraged me to stick with the program even though it was tough and who gave me so many insights into my struggles. At one point I was totally ready to take off, and Dr. Rob said, “I think you have been running your whole life and you need to push through this.” To which I said, “Ok, Dr. Rob, I’m going to trust you on this one.” And I’m glad I did. Roxanna was so sweet in having her door open always to provide a little TLC whenever something was troubling me. I think what some of us really needed was to have someone in our corner that we could trust. It is very difficult for me to trust anyone.
My absolute favorite part of the program was having the opportunity to tell my life story in a small group, where I felt both seen and heard and maybe for the first time in my life, understood. I was so inspired by hearing the other client’s life stories and experiences and seeing their strength in having overcome so many obstacles, even before joining Harmony.
I was thankful for the behavioral techs, who drove us everywhere and provided so much support and security during the evening and night hours at housing. They were always willing to listen and provide any assistance needed. There were too many wonderful people to list here, but I give a special thanks to Ms. Sharone, Ms. Kay and Kai, who helped pull me through.
Many of the staff are in recovery themselves which gives them compassion and empathy, for us, because they remember being in our shoes at one time and have a great deal of wisdom from their own healing journey.
I feel that Harmony is the perfect name for this program. This was my safe haven in the midst of a storm. I loved the diversity there with both the staff and clients. They had people from all over the US, of different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities. If you’re struggling, this is the place to come and there’s no time like now to begin.
Just a little suggestion, if you decide to come: many of us brought comfort items, like our own blanket, pillow or towels to make us feel a little more at home. And many of us enjoyed bringing hobby or craft items with us, like knitting, etc. Cooking is my happy place, so I brought a few extra kitchen items.
Staff was great, always helpful and kind. Therapists were very supportive and knowledgeable. A great community to seek long term recovery. I highly recommend Harmony to anyone needing assistance with substance abuse or mental health concerns.
