Life-Changing Experience at Harmony Recovery Center
Harmony Recovery Center has been nothing short of life-changing for me. It provided a safe haven during one of the most difficult times in my life. The care, support, and genuine compassion from the staff here are unmatched.
I want to personally thank Ms. Peggy Lombardo, she is truly an angel, and I feel like I owe her a mansion for everything she’s done for me. Her support alone made such a huge difference in my recovery. Also, shout-out to Evie, Richie, Leo and Stephanie (the Director)each one of them went above and beyond to make sure I was supported and understood.
A heartfelt thank you to my therapist Roxanne and to Jerrod, my former therapist and now facilitator. Their guidance and understanding helped me find myself again. I’m also grateful for Dennissha, the Behavioral Technician who was always available and willing to help in any way she could, day or night.
The alumni program is another highlight, keeping us connected and continuing to support us even after completing treatment. It's clear that Harmony truly cares about every individual who walks through their doors.
I’m a satisfied and grateful client who has found my purpose again thanks to the treatment I received here. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health or substance use, I highly recommend Harmony. Your fresh start begins here.
Thank you, Harmony Recovery Center. 🙏🏾
My journey with Harmony Recovery Center didn’t end after treatment—it continued through the incredible support of their Alumni Program and Family Liaison team. The connection I built with the staff, especially Peggy Lombardo, made a lasting impact on my recovery and personal growth.
Peggy has been a true anchor—compassionate, consistent, and genuinely invested in each person’s journey. She goes above and beyond to ensure that alumni and their families feel seen, supported, and part of a community that truly cares.
Whether it’s staying connected, providing resources, or just checking in when it matters most, the alumni program has been a vital part of maintaining sobriety and staying grounded. Knowing there’s someone on the other side who truly understands means everything.
I’m incredibly grateful for Harmony’s continued care and the strength of the alumni network they’ve created. It’s not just a program—it’s a lifeline.
I came to Harmony Recovery center to receive help for my addiction. It was certainly a challenge to admit and leave my past behind. Harmony and the amazing staff helped to receive what I needed. I met some awesome people at Harmony. The most important thing about recovery is you have to want it really bad and you will get it!
I was in pretty bad shape and at one of the lowest points in my life, when I decided to reach out to Harmony Recovery Center. I feel that my experience there saved my life and started me on my path toward healing. After contacting HRC, Ms. Denice immediately reached out to me and encouraged me to join the program. Ms. Peggy was very supportive while I was struggling to make the decision to attend Harmony and while I was attending the program, and still continues to be.
I was welcomed into the Harmony community by Dr. Laurie, the Clinical Director, and Jasmine, my intake manager, and I immediately felt safe in the warm friendly atmosphere there. I appreciated that the program provided housing, since I was coming from out of town.
Of the many counselors and facilitators, I owe a special thank you to Dr. Rob, who encouraged me to stick with the program even though it was tough and who gave me so many insights into my struggles. At one point I was totally ready to take off, and Dr. Rob said, “I think you have been running your whole life and you need to push through this.” To which I said, “Ok, Dr. Rob, I’m going to trust you on this one.” And I’m glad I did. Roxanna was so sweet in having her door open always to provide a little TLC whenever something was troubling me. I think what some of us really needed was to have someone in our corner that we could trust. It is very difficult for me to trust anyone. And Ms. Gail was the amazing leader of many of our group sessions! Everyone loves Ms. Gail.
My absolute favorite part of the program was having the opportunity to tell my life story in a small group, where I felt both seen and heard and maybe for the first time in my life, understood. I was also inspired by hearing the other client’s life stories and experiences and seeing their strength in having overcome so many obstacles, even before joining Harmony.
I was thankful for the behavioral techs, who drove us everywhere and provided so much support and security during the evening and night hours at housing. They were always willing to listen and provide any assistance needed. There were too many wonderful people to list here, but I give a special thanks to Ms. Sharone, Ms. Kay and Kai, who helped pull me through.
Many of the staff are in recovery themselves which gives them compassion and empathy for us because they remember being in our shoes at one time and have a great deal of wisdom from their own healing journey.
I feel that Harmony is the perfect name for this program. This was my safe haven in the midst of a storm. I loved the diversity there with both the staff and clients. They had people from all over the US, of different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities. If you’re struggling, this is the place to come and there’s no time like now to begin.
Just a little suggestion, if you decide to come: many of us brought comfort items, like our own blanket, pillow or towels to make us feel a little more at home; hobby or craft items, like drawing, knitting, etc. I like to cook, so I brought a few extra kitchen items.
I was living a miserable life. I was homeless in jail in another county as where my family livedand hopeless. I was having a lot of mental health issues and I was a drug addict on top of this. I couldn't figure anything out anymore that would help me get my life in order. I heard about a lady named Mrs. Peggy who worked or a place called a Harmony House. I called her and immediately you could hear peace and hope in her voice. She started communicating with my mother. They got me some insurance and I was released and sent to harmony. I have had the opportunity to deal with some trauma which in turn helped me understand myself more and my addiction. I wish I could express how much harmony means to me. I hope to give back harmony the way it gave to me. Thank you so much Mrs. Peggy words can't express my gratitude towards you.
