I spent six months at Footprints to Recovery, and the experience was truly transformative. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms and treated with respect and understanding. The staff at this facility is nothing short of extraordinary – their dedication to each individual’s recovery journey is evident in everything they do.
During my stay, I participated in a variety of therapy sessions, including individual counseling, group therapy, and specialized workshops. These sessions were instrumental in helping me understand the root causes of my addiction and provided me with the tools and strategies I needed to manage my triggers and cravings. The therapists and counselors were compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to offer support and guidance.
One of the most valuable aspects of my time at Footprints to Recovery was the emphasis on education and skill-building. I attended several classes that covered topics such as stress management, mindfulness, and healthy coping mechanisms. These classes were incredibly insightful and gave me practical techniques that I continue to use in my daily life.
The sense of community at Footprints to Recovery was also a significant factor in my recovery. I formed strong bonds with fellow clients who were on similar journeys, and we supported each other through the highs and lows of the recovery process. The group activities and peer support meetings were a source of motivation and encouragement, reminding me that I was not alone in my struggle.
The facility itself is well-maintained and provides a safe and comfortable environment for healing. The accommodations were clean and pleasant, and the amenities helped make my stay more enjoyable.
Overall, my experience at Footprints to Recovery was life-changing. I left the center with a renewed sense of hope and a comprehensive plan for continued recovery. I am deeply grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained, and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking help with addiction.
My counselor/caseworker Melvin Williams is such a big help. He has helped me accomplished everything that I needed done. I would recommend for everyone to request being on his caseload.
Thanks for everything Melvin Williams, keep helping and keep saving life’s because you definitely saved mine.
I'd refer anyone struggling with substance abuse, and or mental health to Footprints To Recovery. They have amazing staff, make your appointments top priority and help you to the BEST of their ability. Thank you to footprints for a great stay and a better life
Footprints is a well run clinic! From head to toe, when you first get there, there's the sweetest nicest woman that greets you and helps you anyway she can! The counseling is awesome, they also run groups and they have an understanding of addiction/trauma/mental health. The case managers are very down to earth people, I had Melvin (shout out to Mel) he literally drove me to upstate ny for court on his anniversary! Thank you Melvin. Adreyanna is the nicest person ever and the top dog of counseling, she's the best hands down (Also beautiful ❤️) I never thought the director liked me much, out the gate, Dave! On my end I had severe anxiety and couldn't sit still in group, turns out after going to hospital after many appts, I had sarcoidosis! After the director understood and looking at it now, he was just doing his job, your insurance doesn't pay them if your skipping group and if your trying to recover you can just be there to not learn. But he ended up being a very nice guy once you know him.
Only complaint I would have isn't even with footprints, it's who they are attached to for housing! You go to footprints 8-3 (until your IOP) then that changes but you go to a house, that's owned my REFRESH! The owners are great people but some of the staff when I was there had relationships with clinics, whether it be a guy n girl or guy on guy! After being there 4 months refresh kicked me out for mentioning this to staff, they are all is recovery and buddy's!
Anyway, footprints 👣 is amazing
The housing they are attached to, SOME staff is not amazing. I'm a year sober, and have continued outpatient and following up with medical appointments and I miss footprints and those employees but didn't like the housing they were attached to.
I came to footprints a broken person, wanting to end my life. I’m getting ready to leave after a six month stay and feel anew, rejuvenated. The therapists really care. Daily programming is something I look forward to attending. And the psychiatric care is also beneficial. I have been very pleased. Support is abounding in this environment. I highly recommend.
