What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
BriteLife is a wonderful place, best facility I’ve seen and been to. The staff is great and they all really care and want to help, the groups are in depth and relevant to all struggling with addiction. The living quarters are wonderful as is the food. Almost feels like a nice all inclusive Hilton so you can focus on you and try to learn and grow and better yourself. I 100% recommend this place and the staff will work hard to get you here and get you set up with aftercare for the future!
The Women's program at Britelife changed my life! The individualized therapy and family therapy made such a big difference for me. It was the first time I was able to work through a lot of my traumas that kept me in the grips of addiction. The facility is clean and has a beautiful view. Plus, the food was great and they were very receptive to requests. I highly recommend BriteLife!
Therapists and case managers are compassionate, experienced and extremely hard working. Alumni program is fantastic. Nursing staff is top notch, friendly and knowledgeable. Grounds are gorgeous; maintenance and housekeeping staff are always smiling, despite being grossly understaffed. Staff turnover is high, resulting in lots of mixed messages and out right chaos and confusion. Sr. Management seems checked out or incompetent or both. Staff roll their eyes in frustration and say “I can’t go there” and do their best to make up for it.
My experience at BriteLife afforded me the opportunity to meet great people, learn and practice new recovery tools, and finally get my addiction under control. To say it was simply a life changing experience would be a gross understatement.
The staff at britelife is great, any recovery center is what you put into it. There are things people complain about but I’ve been to many facilities and this is defiantly the best one I’ve been too. They accommodate pretty much any needs, the staff is very polite. And the groups are very helpful. They will also help with emotional and behavioral issues that in the long run lead to addiction issues. My therapist Julia was great and helped me with a lot of things I just had no clue how to work out myself. I highly recommend Britelife to anyone that truly wants the help. No facility will truly help if you don’t want the help for yourself.
I am so grateful for having the opportunity to go to BriteLife and get help for my alcohol addiction. I couldn't do it on my own. Through medically assisted detox to moving to the women's house, it was challenging and incremental to me safely achieving sobriety. The house and grounds are beautiful, the therapists work hard and provide a lot of individual and group care with a variety of behavioral techniques. Well balanced hot meals are provided three times a day and prepared by a professional chef and team. We always had a clean house, bathrooms, bedding and sheets. We went on outings to AA or NA meetings. We had opportunities to go to the gym, attend yoga, attend art therapy, participate in a drum circle, and get acupuncture. We had special outings on weekends where we would go to the beach, a park, go to a movie, get a manicure or pedicure, and we even had Himalayan Salt Therapy. In house therapy lasted from 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday and went from 9am to 3pm on Saturday. On Sundays we could go to church and we had some form of AA/NA every day. We were kept busy and were given a decent amount of supervised down time. There is always a nurse on duty as well as a residential manager. We were supervised at all times, but it didn't feel like we were imprisoned. All of our needs were taken care of including doctors visits and tobacco/vape runs once a week.
As for people that are discharged early, there are people that come in that don't want to be there and act out and make it hard for the people that do want to be there. Those disruptions compromise the rehabilitation of the people that want to be there. Those people that can't tolerate the environment leave voluntarily or they did something egregious and need to leave for the safety of the patients and staff as a whole.
From BriteLife and my 6 day detox and 28 day program, I chose to go ahead to Lantana Recovery to get more reinforcement. The combination of the two rehab facilities is extremely powerful in the road to recovery.
Personally, I really value my time at BriteLife and the tools I gained from being there I will use in my life always. Going from BriteLife to Lantana is the best thing I've done for my personal well-being in my adult life. I actually do feel different and I act differently. I'm no longer using alcohol and don't want to ever again. I could never have had this type of transformation on my own. I'm eternally grateful.
I'd like to thank the staff individually, but anonymity is a huge part of this process.
Thank you, BriteLife.
