About Awakenings By The Sea

The homelike atmosphere is a warm, intimate setting that promotes a safe environment for healing and growth. Our program has been designed, exclusively for women, by Betty Ford clinical veteran Ann Martin. We strive to be the best rehab for women in Oregon. As the first & only women’s ASAM 3.1, 3.5, 3.7-accredited, and CARF-certified, program in the Pacific Northwest, you can trust the service we offer. Thank you for taking the time to see what our Oregon addiction treatment program can offer you, or a woman you love. Because we are intentionally small by design, we are able to customize our addiction treatment programs to meet the multifaceted needs of our clients who suffer from alcoholism and a variety of addictions. Our small, Oregon drug and alcohol rehab for women focuses on client needs – giving a valuable array of treatment offerings to a fortunate few at a time. From traditional alcohol treatment, to doctor assisted Suboxone maintenance, we make each woman’s recovery unique.

What Our Patients Say About Us

Awakenings by the Sea in Seaside OR is absolutely the best rehab you could ask for! I am writing this review as I am almost 1 year sober & this could not happen without the knowledge I gained from this wonderful rehabilitation center!! This center addresses addiction, but more importantly, teaches you how to get the ‘old you’ back!! This is so much more than stopping the addictive actions; it’s lessons in understanding what you can do to be successful in your sobriety. Doesn’t matter the addiction, be it drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc. Not all centers include CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) & most centers don’t even seem to know what DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is! And DBT may be the best part of my treatment that taught me the most! While you may not seem comfortable with some of their rules, the rules will bring discipline and structure to your life. If you want sobriety from any addiction, allow yourself the best opportunity for success by entering the program at Awakenings by the Sea. If you truly want your life and relationships back, check in!! You won’t be sorry!!❤️

This program is designed for success! If you want to get clean and sober, Awakenings By The Sea will give you all the tools necessary to recover and remain sober for the rest of your life. The staff are all incredibly supportive and caring. It shows that they love their work and clients feel that through the group sessions as well as the everyday activities and structure. I’m proud to be an alumnus of ABtS and highly recommend them. If you or someone you know needs hope & help to conquer addiction to alcohol or other substances, this place is it.

I went to Awakenings with very little hope and left with the motivation I needed to really change my life. I was given the support I desperately needed while building life long friendships. The fact that it was all women really helped me focus on the things I had been neglecting for so long. Daily walks on the beach were also very beneficial to my recovery. The counselors and staff were a huge factor in helping me realize that a life of sobriety was the only path for me. Since Awakenings, I have seen my life grow into something I would have never thought possible.

Awakenings By The Sea is exactly where I needed to be to be able to grasp the concept of true sobriety. From the minute I walked through the doors it was evident to me that this was a place that served those suffering from addiction. The staff are truly dedicated and I believe "called" to spread the message and help to others. The work was hard but sharing it with other women and recognizing their honesty, strength and willingness made it possible for me to do the work and do it with complete honesty. The AA meeting every morning at the Little Yellow House, Von and Shannon's delicious meals, the beach walks, gym time, bowling and movie time----were just what was needed to help in the beginning of healing. Jean who kept our home so clean and tidy and her wonderful sense of humor and stories. The counselors, nurses, admin., etc. are dedicated to each and every woman who comes through the doors. I am forever grateful for the gift of being able to walk through the doors and be a part of this blessed place. I look forward to seeing my Awakening Sisters in the future. I have been given the tools and healing time I was desperately in need of and I cannot thank them enough.

I strongly recommend Awakenings by the Sea for women’s only inpatient treatment! I went through the program about a year ago and miss it so much! It was a very formative part of my recovery and paved the way to successful sobriety. I wasn’t sure I would like it and there was a small conflict that arose between me and one of the staff members while I was there, but ultimately it all made me stronger. Tabitha is a no nonsense counselor, and she is great at finding potential cracks in your plan for sobriety and offering practical suggestions to surpass obstacles. The extracurricular activities are a big bonus… Like leisurely walks on the beach, weekend outings, in-house yoga and visits to the local gym. Patients also get to attend daily meetings at the Little Yellow House in Seaside, which is a world famous AA center. The community I found at Awakenings has stuck by my side and seen me through the good and the bad. I miss the routines, the dedicated staff, the other women, the powerfully moving group sessions, and the around the clock support for my sobriety. I haven’t needed to go back, but if I did, I would definitely choose Awakenings by the Sea for my recovery journey! 🌊💜💯

Awakenings by the Sea was just what I needed in my time of darkness. The tools, rest and healing saved my life. The staff is professional and empathetic to the needs of women in recovery. I feel as the 30 days of instruction, care digging deep into my value, feeling’s and motivation has gotten me ready to face the future in sobriety. Von cooked the best food ever. Each meal was served with a salad bar. We went to the local AA meeting every morning, which got us ready for a busy, productive day. I got so close to the staff and women at Awakening’s, that it is hard to leave. What a safe, comfortable place to heal.

The Awakenings has been one of the best decisions of my life. They are so welcoming, supportive and non judgmental. The fellow women in recovery were inspiring, understanding and just amazing. I don't think there is another Awakenings by the Sea anywhere comparable. It's not clinical at all. You feel so at home. The experience has warmed my heart and given me tools to help me stay focused on my sobriety. I am forever grateful 🙏 ❤️

I cannot say enough positive things about Awakenings by the Sea. I just discharged after a 30 day stay and I can honestly say it was a life changing experience. The staff, all around, are so kind and caring! The counselors work hard to provide both group education AND individualized treatment plans. No two patients have exactly the same needs or concerns and I was so impressed by my counselor, Vicky, and her ability to take what I shared with her in 1:1 sessions and come up with meaningful, therapeutic assignments to help me process some of my specific needs. I made many great friends with the other patients in my time at Awakenings too! I’ll never forget this experience
