What Our Patients Say About Us

Thank you Avenues!!!

This was my first experience in any sort of treatment and I am SO glad I chose Avenues. Especially once I heard from people who had been to multiple places - avenues really stands out. Initially I was going to stay 30 days, but because of the encouragement of my counselor and the amazing support of my parents, I was able to stay for 60 days - and I am extremely happy I did! I feel like it gave me the best chance at recovery. There were so many unexpected gifts I received by coming here, not the least of which was the community I built - I have really made some lifelong friends. The staff is also incredible. They truly pour their heart and soul into what they do here. Whether it be education, recovery experience, or both, everyone who works here is so valuable and wise. The facilities are great - as a single mom it really was a blessing to not have to think about grocery shopping and cooking all the time, but it was nice to be able to cook in my own kitchen when I wanted to. The structured schedule was great, and I really appreciated the AA meeting every night - it was so helpful having people from the local AA community come and share their experience, strength, and hope with us. I also love the alumni program they offer. It’s a great way to catch up with program graduates weekly, celebrate recovery milestones, etc. My plan is to do treatment once and live a life in recovery, and Avenues has definitely equipped me to do that, but I know who I can call should I need to in the future, and where I will send anyone struggling with the disease of addiction. Thank you Avenues!!!

Thank you, thank you!

Thank you to Ashley and all the folks from Avenues Recovery who facilitate the Sober Safe Spot at Mardi Gras! It has been my go-to parade spot two years running, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Like in many sober spaces, I feel welcomed, comfortable and safe, and always have great conversations with like-minded, respectful people. The Sober Safe Spot is in an awesome location, and is just a massive blessing. Thank you, thank you!!!!

This is an amazing program . I graduated in January. Just to start with the smaller things , the beds are comfy , own apartment, private, the food is good. THE COUNSELORS ARE EXCELLENT! ELIZABETH was my counselor inpatient and I saw tremendous growth in me. She showed me Iam intresicly valuable. Alumni is awesome. IOPshod really have it's own review. It's excellent. I do my socializing here with sober people I already have a report with. They feed us and give our meds. Great comrodery.By far the best part is my counselor. KAT IS AMAZING! I don't know where I'd be with out her. She points my growth out to me. Has helped me get through many tough situations. She is educated, informative and has amazing feedback! She's my favorite part of this all around awesome experience. She not only is awesome listener but gives great advise and makes me feel important. This woman along with ERIN who I affectionatly call Nanny has great art projects and is very kind. Along with the receptionist Ms Altondra is so organized and helps everything run smoothly. When I walk thru the door as the first face I see greets me with care and optimism. I love this place and these lady's. IOP is fun therapeutic and full of love. Also shout out to Ashly Duncan and Sam who are huge parts of my recovery in alumni and outside AA meetings. Disclaimer this program is what you make it. Use these tools!

Avenues was a great place to find myself. I love the apartment style living where you have your own space and kitchen if need be to cook your own meals. Also, the staff, counselors, and nurses are awesome! Thank you so much!!

I found the support I never knew existed from day 1, even while I experienced the worst detox of my life. All of the staff have personal experience with addiction and recovery and are living examples of the best of humanityI strongly recommend Avenues to anyone who is ready to heal, live well, learn the tools, and process. This place and its people saved my life.
