Asheville Recovery Center

As a queer and trans person, I had a truly positive experience at Asheville Recovery Center. The staff treated me with compassion, respect, and genuine care from day one. They created a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where I felt safe to focus on my recovery. The counselors and team members were knowledgeable, encouraging, and always willing to listen. The program gave me valuable tools and coping skills that have made a real difference. I also appreciated the sense of community and the encouragement I received from both staff and peers. I highly recommend Asheville Recovery Center.

The Staff at ARC truly changed my life. It was hard for me to admit that I needed help . When I did and looked for a place to land, I was blessed to find ARC. They provided me with the tools, strength and belief in myself that I could be better. They’ve saved not only me but my family. The Friendships formed there will be with me forever and ones I can always count on in good times and bad.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The therapists, techs, case managment, all the way to the directors are amazing. EVERYONE is involved and thoroughly vested in your recovery process every step of the way. I truly did not meet a person I didn't like. They are all kind and genuine people. It helps that many have been through the program there themselves, or have "been there, done that" themselves. The clients are all pretty fantastic, too. 95% are truly there to recover. Sure a few bad eggs in every batch, but staff handles them appropriately and they usually come around. The community activities are always fun. Clinical being offsite from their residence gives it a different air of not being trapped in a facility. The team does a fabulous job of pairing roommates based on personalities, similar ages, backgrounds in life, and DOCs. Hopefully, I won't ever need to return for care, but if I do, ARC would be my only choice!

My son attended ARC and the family support they offer is amazing. From weekly support groups, to a monthly family day, to the communication they continue to have with me after he’s been out (he’s still in IOP) has been incredible. I’m so grateful to the community. Special shout out to Lauren!

ARC has saved my life. The staff, the community, the facility, the therapists and clinicians have supported me endlessly throughout this experience. If you are ever considering getting help, please give them a call. They will guide you in the most gentle and beneficial way possible. I am overflowed with gratitude for everyone there.
