About The Plymouth House

The Plymouth House uses the 12-Steps to guide their treatment. They have on-site psychiatrists, primary therapists, and physicians. Along with addiction, they can also treat mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. The Plymouth House partners with detox centers in the area and can refer clients there to detox, and arrange the transition between centers. After detoxing, treatment at The Plymouth House’s private facility begins. Their location in the White Mountains’ foothills has 60 acres of trees, streams, and walking trails to enjoy during a structured day of treatment. They now work with most major insurance providers to make treatment more accessible.

What Our Patients Say About Us

Refreshing

Are you or your loved one ready to surrender? This is it! It’s challenging for me to call Plymouth House a rehab. I love the idea of calling it a Spiritual Community. The family feel comes into play instantly upon your arrival. You can tell the staff has your best interest in mind. It’s extremely refreshing knowing that most of the staff are in long term recovery themselves. When it comes to addiction, no one understands recovery better than someone who has been there. Your success is valued at Plymouth House. You are treated more than a patient. They refer to you as a guest and treat you in such a manner. Before your departure, they will give you a plan of action for after your stay.

The place to go

The Plymouth House is THE place to go if you are striving for sobriety. From walking in on your first day to saying goodbye everyone is met with their own team of people who support their journey. The rooms are rehab chic, super nice and the food is homemade every day and the coffee is surprisingly delicious. I had an amazing experience here and would tell anyone to go here if there’s a need/want to do so

My Plymouth House experience was very inspirational. It provided me with education on the disease as well as tools and resources to maintain my sobriety. It was therapeutic, uncovering the feelings I was masking by drinking. Lastly, it was supportive and encouraging, understanding my individual needs.

If you are reading this review, and you are anything like me, you might be scared by the prospect of coming to a rehab. Whether it is your first time or your fifth time the idea of admitting that you can’t deal with life in addiction and reaching out for help is daunting. The idea of stepping away from everything for 7 or 30 or 60 days can be frightening. If that is how you feel I urge you to call the Plymouth House and give yourself a chance at a better life. While there my 12-step contact guided me through the 12 steps in a way I had not experienced through previous avenues. I have had several therapists in my life, but I was able to work through things there that had been previously inaccessible to me with other professionals. My case manager helped me to manage the myriad of things that were still happening on the outside so that I could focus on my journey of recovery and growth here. Most importantly, all members of my care team worked together as a cohesive team to ensure I was receiving the best experience and shot at long-term recovery. Every staff member there made me feel as though this was a special place to work and that they care for everyone that walks through the door. All of that fosters a community of residents that is nothing I could have imagined. From the moment you walk out of intake to the moment you walk back out the door into the real world this is a community that makes you feel welcome, that you are not alone, and that we are all in this together. The Plymouth House has given me the tools to stay sober and navigate life again. I am truly grateful for the experience I have had there and the lifelong friends I have made. I am now 5 months sober and starting the path to become the person I was meant to be. This journey (and the Plymouth House) was nothing short of a miracle.

My daughter was there for about 2 months. Plymouth house was amazing! They made sure she received the foundation she needed to be able to transition to sober living and be successful. They were also very helpful to me as a parent. Definitely recommend.

I was despondent and hopeless when I arrived at The Plymouth House (TPH) in 2024. I had been in long term recovery before, but had relapsed badly and given up hope on ever being free from despair. Thankfully, I didn't want to hurt those who love me and found an iota of willingness. This willingness gave me the ability to set aside everything I thought I knew about myself and recovery for a brand new experience in all of it. I surrendered to THP -- more importantly to the people and love that IS The Plymouth House. And they helped me heal. They reminded me that I'm so much more than an addict and alcoholic. They reminded me of the kind and loving person I am. They reminded me that brokenness is a way to surrender. That my brokenness is an entryway to a new way of living and seeing and being part of life. Being a human is hard, but it is a gift! Today, I'm happy again. I'm helping others. My heart and life are full of love. The folks at TPH walked me to this awakening and whole new life. I am forever grateful.

Everyones experience is going to be unique to them. Of course there are things that sucked, but there were a lot more aspects that were great. Overall i would highly recommend this place to anyone struggling. The residential program helped me end a 12 year streak of drug addiction, something i never thought i'd be able to get out of. Truly grateful for all the amazing people who work here and the program they offer. Big shout out to all the techs. They are literal recovery angels. Thank you times a million.
