About The Gathering Place
The Gathering Place is a residential treatment center that offers substance abuse treatment to women. While at The Gathering Place, clients are involved in various therapeutic, recreational and community, recovery-oriented activities. Each client is assigned a clinician upon admission and given a thorough intake interview. Then an individualized treatment plan is developed. Clients engage in weekly one-to-one counseling sessions in addition to a multitude of group activities which focus on: chemical dependency, sharing life stories, parenting, trauma recovery concepts, grief and loss, healthy relationships, recreation, vocational skills, social skills, and daily living skills.
