The Dunes at East Hampton

The Dunes is a very special place. They truly care about the clients and went above and beyond when I was there. They helped me so much in so many ways. The therapists are all amazing and the groups are run very well. I benefited so much from the program and am so grateful I made the decision to go there. Marisa in admissions made me feel very comfortable every step of the way from start to finish. I love the alumni meetings that are offered and keep everyone connected. The bonds I made with the other clients have become some of my best friends.

The Dunes was absolutely amazing. They were extremely compassionate, kind, caring, friendly and truly wanted my family member to succeed and overcome an alcohol addiction. The Dunes is beautiful, and I believe the small amount of people they have at a time helps because of such individualized attention. Our family is so thankful to The Dunes and how they changed all of our lives with the success of our loved one. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is struggling with an addiction. The Dunes is wonderful !

This review is long overdue. I went The Dunes in January of 2019 for three months. I was a late stage alcoholic with severe liver damage at the age of 29. I never wanted to leave. This was one of three rehabs I attended in a two year period and I wish I could have done them all here. What makes The Dune the best is the small intimate setting with very few people and a higher staff to client ratio. You receive an adequate amount of one on one sessions which I feel helped me a little more than group. The program is really tailored to you and the staff go above and beyond to give you the best experience and the best help. The services and activities they offer are amazing. They make you feel like a real human being. We were given privileges such as off campus trips to restaurants, shopping, women were able to get their hair or nails done and community service opportunities such as volunteering at a dog shelter. It was a very involved program encouraging you to engage in different forms of therapy and activities such as equine. The food was top of the line gourmet- hats off to our chef Felice (sp). Need I say how gorgeous the home is? Or the fact that it’s in the Hamptons just a short distance from the beautiful Atlantic beaches? While all this is important because it lives up to the Luxury promise, what I appreciate about The Dunes the most is the staff, their dedication, and the relationships I built. Every staff member brought something unique. This gave clients a bigger opportunity to relate and confide. Annie was my primary and god I miss her. She made me do real work which is something I wasn’t willing to do in other places. Although I left The Dunes and relapsed a few months after, I remained in touch with the people there. They were the ones I credit with helping me get back on track. I am now almost 4 years sober and have them to thank for it. By the grace of god, age was on my side and I now live a normal and healthy life. I highly recommend The Dunes. It is a place that I hold near and dear to my heart, is special to many and I LOVED every day of it!
