What Our Patients Say About Us

By far one of the BEST treatment center facilities for mental health and substance abuse. The staff is extremely professional, very clean and the environment is welcoming. The group facilitators are great. I highly recommend this facility for anyone that is struggling with mental health or addiction to drugs and alcohol. They will give you your life back. You will not be disappointed!!!! Five stars!!!!

was the "too far gone" case. I had done multiple rehabs and detoxes and I never seemed to get it. In June of 2023 I was detoxing in a behavioral health facility and was at the end of my rope. I called my mother and told her I just couldn't stay in Mississippi and do another rehab. So she did some searching for me and found Tennessee Valley Recovery in Knoxville, TN. That same day I spoke to Wesley on the phone. He was super kind and understanding and welcoming and I knew that Tennessee Valley Recovery was exactly where I needed to be. I got on a plane and got to Knoxville at 2am and Jordan was waiting on me in the airport. Never once did I feel scared or unwelcomed or judged. In fact, I felt more understood than I had in a long time. Most everybody who works at TVR is in recovery theirselves. So they're able to relate with you and understand and not judge. They have very nice housing if you need somewhere to stay. They provide your groceries every week. They give you a safe, comfortable environment for you to get back on your feet at. I have done both programs they offer. I completed 3 months of substance abuse and 2 months of mental health. The therapists and clinical directors are amazing. I felt like I could talk to Amanda and Andy about every and anything. They were able to help me get through my biggest roadblocks and teach me how to cope with my trauma from being sex trafficked and abused. They gave me the will and desire to get where I am today. They helped me get a job, health insurance and into an amazing sober living. Coming to Tennessee Valley Recovery saved my life. And it can save yours, too, if you're willing. I guarantee it. They're more than a rehab, they're family.

The staff here makes you feel comfortable and at home. I am very grateful for the people thats been brought into my life and become apart of my journey. I've definitely grown my support system and sober family. I've learned alot about addiction and coping skills to help me be successful with my recovery. I feel very confident about my soberity after TVR and the knowledge I've gained from being here. I would like to say thank you to all the staff for everything you've done to help me thus far in my journey, I will forever be grateful for each of you ❤

My son recently completed the PHP and IOP programs at Tennessee Valley Recovery, and I can honestly say this is the first place he has ever stayed without wanting to leave or complaining about being there. That alone speaks volumes. From the very beginning, Lacey in admissions was fantastic and made the process of getting him admitted so much easier. Jessica, the clinical director, was incredibly compassionate and accommodating, which meant a lot to us during a really difficult time. His therapist, Matt, was amazing. He really took the time to build rapport and earn my son’s trust, which is not easy. You can tell he genuinely cares and knows how to connect. My son is doing better than I’ve seen in the past 4 years since being in treatment, and I truly believe Tennessee Valley Recovery played a huge role in that. I’m so grateful for the care, support, and consistency they provided. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a program that truly makes a difference.

Every treatment you go to will have its cons, but it’s the people there that define the experience. At TVR every staff member whole heartedly cares about each client. The lead technician Caesar goes above and beyond to meet the clients needs. I wouldn’t change anything about the experience I had and I’m so thankful for the opportunities that TVR gave me. I would recommend to anyone who needs a program with support! Love you guys.

Justin Lacey does everything he can to support those seeking treatment. When a family member asked for help, I didn't know what to do, but the moment I started talking to Lacey, he helped us find a facility and navigate an incredibly difficult situation. He didn't stop there. He continued to stay in touch with everyone involved, providing constant encouragement and advice. He even took the time to speak with extended family and friends who called asking how they could best support their recovery. I can't recommend Tennessee Valley Recovery and Justin Lacey enough for anyone seeking treatment, or for anyone who has a loved one fighting an addiction.

This program was great and it’s the first long-term mental health place that I have been to in a long time and it helped me to reestablish some of the knowledge that I’ve learned along the way it was a great access to combining the aspect of mental health and addiction crossing over each other.
