Sunrise Detox – Long Island

If I could give Sunrise Detox in Brentwood a billion stars, I would. This was my very first time at a facility like this, and I arrived feeling unsure, but the moment I walked through the doors, all my fears vanished. I was welcomed by Ray, a tech who handled my assessment and immediately made me feel at ease. He took the time to introduce me to the staff, and from that moment on, I knew I was in the right place. Every single nurse and staff member here is amazing, but I have to give a special shout-out to my counselors: Sean, Tamara, and Patrick. They are nothing short of supportive and genuinely, truly care about your well-being. Both Tamara and Sean go above and beyond to set you up for success *after* you leave, helping you navigate the next steps seamlessly—whether that’s inpatient, outpatient, or connecting you with AA meetings. The group meetings and meditation sessions here are incredibly eye-opening and helpful. They dive deep into the tools you need to get better, and I never thought I would find myself identifying and connecting so deeply with people of all different ages. There are no cliques here; the facility truly feels like a family. You are treated like an actual human being, and not once did I ever feel judged. On top of the incredible emotional and medical support, the hospitality is top-tier. The chefs, Rob and Jerry, accommodate absolutely everyone, and the food is delicious—honestly, it felt like eating at a restaurant with so many great options. Plus, the fridge is always fully stocked with desserts and snacks in case you get hungry at any hour of the day. Sunrise Detox gave me the strength and willpower to stop my addiction. If you or a loved one are struggling, please know you are safe here. They will treat you with the dignity, respect, and care you deserve.

I was at my lowest when I came to this place in December 2024 and I didn’t know what to expect but everything was easy and amazing. It’s a beautiful place and the techs are caring and deal with everyone respectfully. (Steve is the best tho) 😂 I drove them crazy with my super high blood pressure for the 7 days I was there but they always genuinely cared to help me and I’m forever grateful but anyways I’m sober now going on 14 months and I can’t thank this place enough. And thank you to Jessica who even though recommended I do 30 days more at another facility she updated my family daily and genuinely cares for the patients at this facility! The food is great and they have plenty of snacks available and also vending machine on site and also had plenty of TV’s and an Xbox video game machine available while I was there as well. Thank you to everyone at this facility you got me out of my darkest place and life is great again!

Sunrise Brentwood will forever hold a pivotal brush stroke in this beautiful artwork I call life. I am lucky to be able to have the experience I had, and the foundation built from the very start with incredibly supportive counselors and nurses. Words wouldn't be enough to express my gratitude toward Jessica, and Tina. They instilled confidence, structure, and caring support from the very start. Being sober, and living "in" sobriety has opened my eyes to all the beauty this world has to offer. This probably wouldn't be the case if it wasn't for them. I am proud to be a sober man today, I am proud of how I treat and help others, and I am proud to have had my start at Sunrise Detox Brentwood.

Have to say probably the best detox I have been to. The facility, staff, food ect is amazing. They really put you at your best interest and the care for their patients is phenomenal! My counselor Jessica was awesome, she really made me feel comfortable and helped me with whatever I needed and set me up with inpatient program that she felt was best for me. I know if I ever needed to suggest a place for someone this detox would be my first suggestion
