What a life changing experience I had walking through those doors of Soba. As scared and hesitant as I was it was the best decision I have ever made. From the minute I walked through the door the staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. It was comforting to know that most of them had been through what I was going through and truly cared about our recovery. The clinicians and counselors were knowledgeable and compassionate so it was easy to talk to them about things I couldn’t imagine telling anyone. They made the sessions fun and full of laughs. Shout out to Mike - he was the glue that held the facility together . Anytime someone needed anything he came through whether it was getting someone items or clothing they may not have had , running out for food when deliveries didn’t show up , helping us navigate issues that were happening in our personal lives outside of the facility and spoiling us with his Italian treats that’s he ran all over the city to let us try. The chef was amazing and was open to requests for various diet needs we had. The facility was cozy and smaller than a large commercialized place so you didn’t feel lost in the groups and felt relaxed. It was professionally cleaned every day and was immaculate thanks to the cleaning team . Best of all, the small group of people I met all became friends. We truly all respected each other , listened to each other , were able to be ourselves and had many good laughs and cries. Once everyone has successfully completed their time we will all meet again. One thing I learned was to be successful and get over our fears and hesitations you need to do things that are uncomfortable for you . I am so glad I did and walked through those doors. I will forever be grateful for Soba!

SOBA's star ratings are well-deserved. Unlike so many other rehabs, their dual diagnosis program exists and is first-rate. My son was immediately drawn in by their heartfelt caring, non-judgment and degree of listening and support. Upon entering the program, a lot of our loved ones are broken and it is not easy for them to feel, talk, listen, share and love again. The dedicated staff of therapists, techs and all others, help them do the work and make it happen. Also, the family group at SOBA is exceptional. Any concerns can be voiced but also an educational aspect of addiction and mental health is provided. I would highly recommend SOBA and will be forever grateful for their dedication.

I am grateful for the help I had at Soba. During my intake I ended up going into a seizure and the staff took great care of me. Michael stayed with me at the ER until he saw that I was seen by a Dr. Which took about 2 hours. When I came back to Duke Street the Techs, nurses, chef and cleaning staff were great. The place was kept very clean. I then came to Bayard Street for PHP and the staff has been top notch. They started working on all the paperwork I needed and I felt very comfortable knowing my disability was being taken care of. I immediately felt comfortable with the staff and I had many questions at different times and they never turned me away. I have been to other facilities but nothing like this but as usual God always provides and He directed me to Soba so I will always be grateful.

I found SOBA New Jersey through a Google search and was able to enter their detox program the next day. From my first phone conversation to my final group therapy session, the staff was consistently accommodating, understanding, and attentive. The nurses and clinical team demonstrated both professionalism and genuine personal care for each client. The facility itself was extremely clean and well organized, and the on-site chefs provided a wide variety of delicious meals each day. Overall, my 10-day stay was a positive and successful experience, and I am grateful to SOBA for helping put me on the right path toward a life of sobriety.

I have nothing but great things to say about my recent experience at SOBA. It was my first time in treatment so I was a bit anxious to say the least. Thankfully the moment that I stepped in I was welcomed in a truly kind and caring fashion. All of the staff were top notch and completely in tune to every one of my possible needs. The tech staff, the counselors, the group leaders, the medical team…even the cleaning ladies went above and beyond my expectations. My counselor Phil was awesome and a BIG shout out to Mike who made us feel like family and always went out of his way for anyone in need. I can’t thank EVERYONE enough at SOBA for so gracefully opening the door to our new road to recovery. ✌🏼❤️
