SOBA and its people have changed my life! From the moment I mustered up enough courage to call to leaving there clean, educated, confident and loved. I’d never been to a rehab in my life before. I had no idea what to expect. The nurses, clinicians, techs, chefs, financial and case workers gently helped me to navigate this part of my life. I didn’t realize I had a disease- I learned alcoholism is a disease and alcohol is a drug. (I thought it was a choice). Each day was better than the one before and they educated me- the more I was learning, the more I wanted to learn! The food the chefs cooked was delicious- I think I gained 10 pounds.
The littlest detail to comfort was incredible. They showed me that human compassion and kindness still exists.
I would recommend SOBA to anyone and everyone! Believe me, you will come away educated, comforted and confident to beat your addiction. Thank you Trevor, Neil, Leo, Phil, Rich, Sara, Misari, Isaiah, Amy, Sam, Cat, Mike and Passion. You made me healthy and happy and well equipped to continue life with a clear mind, a clear head, and a strong heart. (If I forgot anyone know you are in my heart too!)
I can’t say enough good things about my experience at SOBA. The facility itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, but what truly made the difference was the staff.
Everyone was incredibly caring, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping clients succeed. A special shoutout to the techs Rob, Trevor, Passion, Isaiah, Ernest, Rich, Leo, Sarah and Mazary. They made a difficult time so much easier with their kindness, encouragement, and ability to bring some fun and laughter into the days when it was needed most.
I also want to recognize Mike, who consistently went above and beyond for the clients. Whether it was providing snacks and meals or making sure everyone had what they needed, his compassion never went unnoticed. When I was struggling to stomach anything, he even ordered me chicken noodle soup two days in a row. It was such a simple gesture, but it meant so much and showed how much he truly cared.
I am incredibly grateful that I found SOBA. The support I received, the relationships I built, and the care shown by the staff made a lasting impact on my recovery journey. Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience a positive one.
Where can I begin…I checked into SOBA an absolute mess and needed to get my life back on track. All of the techs, nurses and directors were AMAZING! I learned many new tools and coping skills during my stay there. The housing is extremely comfortable and fun, and an honorable mention to the chef for the great food served. I made many new friends, clients and staff included. I highly recommend SOBA to get your sober journey started as it is well worth it. Thanks again for all the help and great laughs.
I just completed detox and residential treatment at SOBA, and overall the experience was amazing. It’s an intimate facility where you receive personalized care that you often don’t find at larger rehab centers.
The staff is incredible, and I want to give a special shout-out to the techs: Hov, Jess, Passion, Leo, Trevor, Rob, Rich, and Isiah. You can tell they are there because they truly care about helping people, not just for a paycheck. They were the biggest cheerleaders and supporters for the residents and were vital in helping me through my recovery journey.
All of the counselors were great as well. Every counselor knew the residents and was always willing to step in and help if your assigned counselor was out of the office. The nursing staff was also wonderful—many thanks to Treva and Julie for their care and support.
For the most part, the food was excellent. In the beginning there were a few challenges when one of the chefs left and we had some takeout meals, but they are now fully staffed and Chef James and Chef Joel are top-notch.
Last but certainly not least, a special thanks to our number one cheerleader—the SOBA mascot, Mike C! He truly takes care of all the residents. With all the delicious food and treats he brings in, be prepared to eat a lot. He’s like the “big brother” of the facility and does everything he can to make sure everyone is taken care of and supported.
Thank you, SOBA, for helping me through my recovery journey. I am incredibly grateful to have received the help and care that I needed.
I just entered Rehab for the first time in my life. Truthfully, I didn’t know what to expect at all as I walked through those front doors. Going to SOBA was beyond a blessing. Exceeded my expectations ten folds. The facility, the staff, the cooks, everything that placed offered was unbelievably great. It all started and ended with the director of client care, Michael. No matter what was asked from the patients, he did it or got it. Showered us with treats and his time and care. He was a great man in and out. 10/10 and would recommend this place to anyone who is seeking help to their road to recovery
