What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
I am overall really satisfied with Skywood Recovery , I had stayed during the season of winter so I was not able to experience the outdoor activities. But the staff and guest speakers well made up for the lack of activity outdoors. The food is unreal, it’s so good. The functionality of the dorms and gym were superb. Just be sure you are willing to commit to staying there for as long as it takes (30-45-60 days).
If you can do that, You will love it there. Would definitely recommend to a friend in need. Thank you Skywood!
Skywood completely changed the course of my life. When I entered treatment at 36, I had been battling addiction for nearly two decades. I was ready—desperate for a change and fully committed to doing the deep internal work necessary for lasting recovery. Skywood gave me the tools, education, therapy, and most importantly, the community and connections that made real transformation possible.
One of the most powerful aspects of Skywood is the staff. They are not only highly knowledgeable due to their education and training, but many also have personal experiences with addiction and recovery. They don’t just teach recovery—they live it, and they share their wisdom and passion with anyone willing to be open and honest with themselves. Their insight, guidance, and unwavering support helped me uncover truths about myself that I had avoided for years.
The environment itself was also a key part of my healing—being surrounded by nature, fresh air, and open space allowed me to reconnect with myself in a way I never had before. Even after leaving, I faced challenges and relapsed a couple of times, but because of what I learned at Skywood, I was able to get back up, grow from those experiences, and strengthen my recovery even more.
I’m forever grateful for my time at Skywood and for the ongoing support I’ve received from the alumni network. If you’re struggling and searching for a place that can truly help you build a foundation for long-term sobriety, I can’t recommend Skywood enough. It’s not just a treatment center—it’s a place where lives are rebuilt, and hope is restored.
Just left Skywood after being there for 11 days and it was the most positive, uplifting, eye-opening, enlightening experience of my life. I made so many good, sober friends who I will keep in contact with for support. Most staff was very helpful and understanding. The only unfortunate element was that there is a mix of ages between 21 and 65 therefore, there are some high school dynamics that go on that are pretty annoying but if you keep to yourself and focus on your recovery, it’s not that bad.
The great people at Skywood Recovery helped ME save MY LIFE almost four years ago. We saved my marriage, too. I had a lifelong addiction to opiates and alcohol.
The excellent education from qualified, CARING professionals is top-notch. The natural, serene environment of an old hunting lodge on three hundred acres and an EXCELLENT chef who made delicious meals three times a day made my stay feel sooo comfortable. Definitely NOT a cold, hospital setting. I cannot express strongly enough how much confidence I have that, if you lean into wanting change in your life, there is no way to fail here!!!!!
It was a great experience. I learned a great deal about myself and my various motivations for drinking, and was able to work through them. I learned how to live life without needing to use and how to be happy in my own skin. The environment was very easy going. The staff really go out of their way to make your stay as low stress as possible. Alumni events are awesome and the trips taken while still a patient were fun and a good change of scene. I would recommend Skywood to anyone seeking to be free of addiction and back in there own lives. I walked in an addict, unsure of my future and the future of my marriage. A few months later I'm free of addiction and my wife is my best friend again and biggest supporter. She's seen that this works and we are happy again. Thank you Skywood!
