Reviews
Skywood Recovery is a place where transformation truly happens. From the moment you arrive, the serene setting and beautiful surroundings set a calming tone, making it easier to focus on the journey ahead. The staff at there is exceptional—compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in your well-being. Each team member, from the counselors to the support staff, plays a crucial role in creating an environment that feels safe and supportive. Their holistic approach addresses not just the addiction but the underlying issues that contribute to it, offering a comprehensive plan tailored to individual needs. They also excel in aftercare planning, ensuring that once you leave, you have the tools and support needed to maintain your recovery. Their alumni network and ongoing support options make it clear that they are committed to your long-term success just as much as you are.
My life after 15 months post Skywood has been so beautiful. I am living a full and responsible life! I still use the tools I learned while in Skywood to navigate not only my sobriety but also my personal life. The gratefulness that I feel for their holistic program will always be present. Their programs are created for addicts to become aware of what life needs to be once discharged and to help us navigate through life’s ups and downs that we WILL encounter. From being a part of doing chores (serving meals, emptying garbages, etc) to being personally responsible for our own recovery. Basically, trust in the process and the rules. I know it worked for me and many others. If we are not willing to do the work….what are we saying about our own selves? That we don’t think we are worth it? Skywood taught me I AM WORTH IT.
Skywood Recovery is not just a treatment center; it's a place where genuine love and care create an environment that fosters true healing. I was fortunate enough to experience this firsthand about 7 months ago, and I can confidently say that Skywood changed my life in ways I never imagined possible.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel that this place was different. The director sets the tone with a deep, unwavering commitment to each patient's well-being. It’s not just about going through the motions—at Skywood, every individual is treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and compassion. The staff members don't just do their jobs; they go above and beyond, forming connections with patients that are rooted in genuine concern and empathy. It’s clear that they are not just there to help—they are there to heal.
The counseling services at Skywood are truly top-tier. The therapists are not only experts in their field but are also deeply invested in the personal growth and recovery of each patient. They create a safe space where you feel understood and supported, allowing you to explore the root causes of addiction and work through them in a meaningful way.
One of the standout aspects of Skywood is the atmosphere of family and community. The staff here treat you like one of their own, and this sense of belonging plays a critical role in the recovery process. It’s rare to find a place where the staff is so genuinely invested in your journey, where their love and care are palpable in every interaction.
And then there’s the food. Skywood’s chef prepares meals that are not only delicious but also thoughtfully crafted to nourish the body during the healing process. It’s just one more way that Skywood goes the extra mile to make sure every aspect of your stay contributes to your recovery.
In a world where many treatment centers can feel cold and clinical, Skywood Recovery stands out as a beacon of hope and healing. The love and care that permeate every corner of this place make all the difference. I cannot recommend Skywood Recovery enough to anyone who is struggling with addiction. It’s a place where you’ll not only receive the treatment you need but also the love and support that will help you truly recover."
I had a mostly positive experience. Everyone was nice. They accommodated me getting to a chemotherapy appointment and took me to the hospital a few times. The food was great. The facility was beautiful. The con which is huge to me, is Angie my therapist at the time called my ex husband after I revoked his privileges and told him things that let to my divorce. I came home to a sold car and being told to get out. Maybe it would have happened eventually anyways, BUT her talking to him was the ending factor. I lost my house and had to move into an rv in Tennessee. I’m still sober which is fantastic but I would be extremely firm about enforcing your HIPAA rights. If my experience with everyone else wasn’t so lovely I would have reported her but the other people at the facility were so good to me I didn’t want to. It put me at a major risk of relapse but I persevered because of the things I was taught while at Skywood. Andy is amazing and went above and beyond to help me find a recovery coach and I’m still to this day so thankful for him and his kindness. I remember all the people that were so kind to me. The one bad I just choose to forgive as the one irresponsible bad apple.
Skywood has given me a brand new life! The entire staff are professional, honest and caring. They really give you the tools to deal with your addiction in every way, from education, to life skills , to help you get through the moment and not use, to a great sense of community that welcomes you and helps you work on yourself and why you came there. I can't properly express here the gratitude I feel every day for every member of the staff, they all care and they all want you to succeed. Thank you Skywood
