What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
The great people at Skywood Recovery helped ME save MY LIFE almost four years ago. We saved my marriage, too. I had a lifelong addiction to opiates and alcohol.
The excellent education from qualified, CARING professionals is top-notch. The natural, serene environment of an old hunting lodge on three hundred acres and an EXCELLENT chef who made delicious meals three times a day made my stay feel sooo comfortable. Definitely NOT a cold, hospital setting. I cannot express strongly enough how much confidence I have that, if you lean into wanting change in your life, there is no way to fail here!!!!!
Skywood Recovery is a place where transformation truly happens. From the moment you arrive, the serene setting and beautiful surroundings set a calming tone, making it easier to focus on the journey ahead. The staff at there is exceptional—compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in your well-being. Each team member, from the counselors to the support staff, plays a crucial role in creating an environment that feels safe and supportive. Their holistic approach addresses not just the addiction but the underlying issues that contribute to it, offering a comprehensive plan tailored to individual needs. They also excel in aftercare planning, ensuring that once you leave, you have the tools and support needed to maintain your recovery. Their alumni network and ongoing support options make it clear that they are committed to your long-term success just as much as you are.
Just left Skywood after being there for 11 days and it was the most positive, uplifting, eye-opening, enlightening experience of my life. I made so many good, sober friends who I will keep in contact with for support. Most staff was very helpful and understanding. The only unfortunate element was that there is a mix of ages between 21 and 65 therefore, there are some high school dynamics that go on that are pretty annoying but if you keep to yourself and focus on your recovery, it’s not that bad.
It was a great experience. I learned a great deal about myself and my various motivations for drinking, and was able to work through them. I learned how to live life without needing to use and how to be happy in my own skin. The environment was very easy going. The staff really go out of their way to make your stay as low stress as possible. Alumni events are awesome and the trips taken while still a patient were fun and a good change of scene. I would recommend Skywood to anyone seeking to be free of addiction and back in there own lives. I walked in an addict, unsure of my future and the future of my marriage. A few months later I'm free of addiction and my wife is my best friend again and biggest supporter. She's seen that this works and we are happy again. Thank you Skywood!
My life after 15 months post Skywood has been so beautiful. I am living a full and responsible life! I still use the tools I learned while in Skywood to navigate not only my sobriety but also my personal life. The gratefulness that I feel for their holistic program will always be present. Their programs are created for addicts to become aware of what life needs to be once discharged and to help us navigate through life’s ups and downs that we WILL encounter. From being a part of doing chores (serving meals, emptying garbages, etc) to being personally responsible for our own recovery. Basically, trust in the process and the rules. I know it worked for me and many others. If we are not willing to do the work….what are we saying about our own selves? That we don’t think we are worth it? Skywood taught me I AM WORTH IT.
