Skywood Recovery

Just left Skywood after being there for 11 days and it was the most positive, uplifting, eye-opening, enlightening experience of my life. I made so many good, sober friends who I will keep in contact with for support. Most staff was very helpful and understanding. The only unfortunate element was that there is a mix of ages between 21 and 65 therefore, there are some high school dynamics that go on that are pretty annoying but if you keep to yourself and focus on your recovery, it’s not that bad.

The staff at there is exceptional—compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in your well-being. Their alumni network and ongoing support options make it clear that they are committed to your long-term success just as much as you are.

My life after 15 months post Skywood has been so beautiful. I am living a full and responsible life! I still use the tools I learned while in Skywood to navigate not only my sobriety but also my personal life. The gratefulness that I feel for their holistic program will always be present. Their programs are created for addicts to become aware of what life needs to be once discharged and to help us navigate through life’s ups and downs that we WILL encounter. From being a part of doing chores (serving meals, emptying garbages, etc) to being personally responsible for our own recovery. Basically, trust in the process and the rules. I know it worked for me and many others. If we are not willing to do the work….what are we saying about our own selves? That we don’t think we are worth it? Skywood taught me I AM WORTH IT.

Skywood has given me a brand new life! The entire staff are professional, honest and caring. They really give you the tools to deal with your addiction in every way, from education, to life skills , to help you get through the moment and not use, to a great sense of community that welcomes you and helps you work on yourself and why you came there.
