What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
I had went to shadow mountain a few years back, and they have really helped me change my life for the better. I went in anxious and insecure, and everyone here (including Randal and Richard, and a lot more staff I can’t remember the name of) had lifted me up and supported me in ways I’ve never experienced in other facilities. Randal had helped me become more confident in myself while Richard had helped me understand my relationship with life and god deeper, and they gave me the opportunity to go forward to another sober living out in Huntington Beach, which has all lead to me coming up on 2 years sober this months, a finance I love, and a life that I feel like I’m thriving in. Shadow mountain was a fundamental part of my life changing from relentless drug abuse and hurting myself and others around me, to growth in myself and a life where I have value and purpose. I definitely recommend shadow mountain to anyone who is serious about overcoming their addiction and changing their life. Thank you all!!
This is an exceptional treatment experience for addiction. The staff, led by the amazing Randall Staton, is extraordinary; many professionals passionate about helping people like me. The facility itself is nestled in Shadow Mountain and it is well maintained and very comfortable. The mountain itself is a very spiritual place. It has a lot of power and one can feel it just by being there. If you or a loved one needs help with addiction, I highly recommend Shadow Mountain Recovery in Taos, New Mexico. It's one of a kind and truly effective.
Shadow mountain changed my life. The community here brought me closer to my own life than I’ve ever been. It brought me Faith, Friendship, Fellowship, Family, Love, and Laughter. It truly changed the way I perceive my own life. I was able to be honest about my own story; However, I was also able to learn from others at the same time. Shedding light on how we are all truly in this together. I would recommend to anyone looking to change their lives for the better.
I have worked here for nearly a year and a half, and am leaving on good terms. I am proud to have worked with such a professional and supportive staff. I was given the space to bring my unique abilities and perspective on the daily. My supervisor always made the time to help with and listen to my challenges and concerns, while allowing me the room to learn from my mistakes. I believe in this program of recovery, and have seen it work in many men’s lives. I have enjoyed working here, and highly recommend Shadow Mountain as a place of employment.
Absolutely life-changing. The staff—from the therapists, to medical staff and mentors—are professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. Beautiful, remote location. Great lodgings, delicious food. Would recommend to anyone. Shadow Mountain literally saved my life.
