This place quite literally saved my life. The people here actually want to help you. Wendy, Keith, Melina, Sarge, Dr. Smith, Mickey, Paula, Renae, Charmaine and many more will ensure your stay is comfortable and they also hold you accountable. Beach day is also a great relaxing day! I came in looking for a place to reset myself because I was feeling unethical, and lost and it felt like I found a starting place; or should I say a foundation for what I would consider a new beginning. The staff is very welcoming and concerned about my well being. It all starts with Recovery First🥇- awesome and genuinely caring staff and the food is amazing. I also want to send a special shout out to key staff members like Keith who always answers my questions and leads me in the right direction. Gilbert for always putting a smile on my face and taking me to the gym. McLeon from day one who made sure I always had a smile on my face & made sure that I was always comfortable. Greg for his gentle and subtle pep talks. Laurett for making tea for me every morning so that I have a soothing day. Most of all I want to thank Recovery 1st as a whole for actually putting these key players in key places to help change lives for the better. I hope after I leave here I will never have to come back for treatment but to thank all of these key staff members for making my transition peaceful and meaningful. Thank you for bringing my hope back and reminding me that there are people who do this not just for a paycheck; but because they genuinely care. Because there is a difference!! Selah

This place came into my life when I needed it most. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and accepted, and that made all the difference. I met some truly amazing people who helped remind me that recovery is about connection, growth, and taking accountability for your own life. One thing I learned is that you get out of this program what you're willing to put into it. If you stay focused on why you're there and commit to doing the work, there's very little room for negativity. The classes were incredibly helpful, and I appreciated that they offered extra classes for anyone who wanted additional support. One of my favorite parts was spending Sundays at the beach. It gave us time to relax, clear our minds, and reset before the new week. I'm leaving with gratitude, lifelong lessons, and hope for the future. I'm thankful for everyone who was part of my journey. If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. I highly recommend it to anyone who is ready to change their life.

My experience here has been truly life-changing. The Client Experience Manager was incredibly understanding and compassionate, always making me feel heard and supported every step of the way. My therapist was amazing—genuine, attentive, and deeply invested in my growth and recovery. Honestly, everyone in between played a part in making this a safe, welcoming environment. I’m grateful for the care, respect, and encouragement I received here. Highly recommend to anyone seeking real support and change.

Recovery first has been a great experience. The staff have been super generous and helpful. Special shout out to Gilbert and Chaquana who I can tell actually enjoy helping others and gives 110 percent when they come in. There are other staff as well who make being here a great decision!!
