What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
Smokey Mountain Lodge, quite literally, was a god-send.
After spending nearly two weeks in an inpatient facility for my mental health, I was transferred into SML for their 30 to 45-day treatment plan. I was reluctant, to say the least, about taking so much time out of my life to go and try and work on my mental health. In fact, I outright was refusing to go when I was recommended for this option for treatment, but from the first meeting here at The Lodge I knew this was the place I needed to be.
Martina and the patient advocates made everything super simple upon arrival, giving a tour and explanation of the services I would be partaking in during my treatment. From the techs, to the therapists, to the support and culinary staff, everyone’s focus was to make your experience and treatment the best it could possibly be (shout out Lucinda, my therapist!). After 30 days, I can safely say that my mental health has improved DRASTICALLY from the time I first stepped foot here. I feel like I had been equipped with the tools and strategies to re-enter life and be the best version of myself. Thanks to all the staff for helping me be the best version of myself!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this mental health facility nestled at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. The environment itself is peaceful and healing, providing the perfect backdrop for recovery and self-growth.
The staff here truly stands out — they are caring, friendly, patient, and genuinely supportive. You can feel that they are passionate about helping each person who walks through their doors. They treat you with respect, compassion, and understanding, and they go above and beyond to make sure you feel safe, welcomed, and valued during every step of your journey.
If you or someone you love is looking for a place to find help, hope, and a fresh start, I would highly recommend this facility. They don’t just offer treatment — they offer encouragement, motivation, and a path toward a better and healthier future.
I would absolutely recommend the lodge to anyone who is on the fence about approaching residential treatment. When I first got here, I was terrified- I barely remember the tour, and soon after I was alone in my room, waiting for my belongings to be checked. I thought I had made a bad decision, to be honest, before my first roommate came in. I made so many friends at the lodge, everyone here is so kind and empathetic towards your struggles- including the staff! I know I probably wouldn't have and couldn't have made so much progress on my mental health journey without the lodge. Getting to see the animals, go to coffee, and participate in groups was wonderful. I hope everyone is able to get the chance to experience the lodge if they can, as it can be truly life-changing.
Thank you to the therapists there, the swing shift techs, and all the friends I met along the way. I hope everyone is able to find whimsy at the lodge, as I did.
Pasadena Villa saved my life. the staff are some of the most caring people I’ve ever met. I know that I have made life long friends here. there is animal assisted therapy and on Wednesday there is a coffee outing. the groups are good different topics every week and if there is the same topic it’s different every week. the meals are incredible homemade meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can’t recommend Pasadena Villa enough. I was scared to come here but it’s changed my life.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pasadena Villa and Smoky Mountain Lodge were nothing short of life-changing for me. When I arrived, I was struggling more than I could admit, but I left feeling hopeful, grounded, and truly myself again. The healing I experienced there went deeper than I ever expected—emotionally, mentally, and even spiritually.
What meant the most were the people. I met friends who felt like family, people who stood by me on my hardest days and celebrated every small victory with me. And the staff… I’ve never met a group so genuinely caring, patient, and committed. They saw me, believed in me, and helped me rediscover my strength.
I carry their support with me every day, and I will forever be grateful for what Pasadena Villa and Smoky Mountain Lodge gave me. I would recommend them with all my heart to anyone who needs a safe, loving place to
heal.
Grateful Smoky Mountain Alum
