About Northpoint – Idaho

Northpoint Recovery began with a small group of people suffering from substance use. Like many others suffering from addiction, they believed that their substance use resulted from a lack of self-control or willpower. As a result, they felt ashamed, hopeless, and isolated as they struggled to control their substance use.

What Our Patients Say About Us

Northpoint Recovery saved my life. This facility is like none I’ve ever seen before. The nursing staff, techs, and counselors are amazing!!! I felt like my voice was heard and they listened to all my concerns. The low number of patients was perfect so I had plenty of one on one and felt like a person unlike just another patient walking through the doors. I was blown away by everything that we did from gym, yoga, art, educational and process groups. If you or a loved one is suffering from addiction I would HIGHLY recommend Northpoint. Thank you for everything!!! I could not have done this without your help and support and guidance! I am forever grateful!!

Northpoint recovery is an absolutely amazing center. All of the staff are genuine and attentive. They gave me everything I needed to feel comfortable and went out of their way to help every patient that was there. The way the program is structured is phenomenal and is really the best there is for your way to recovery. I couldn’t imagine going and being successful anywhere else. If you are ready for a positive life change I would strongly recommend Northpoint. They gave me my life back and I couldn’t thank them enough.

Northpoint saved my life, good food, good people, no matter where you are I would make the trip. They teach you how to live your life sober. Its not just a detox and boot. You go to yoga, tai chi, workout at the gym, activity class, and either an a/a or n/a every night with visitations on Sunday. Life is good at Northpoint and after! Love you all

I recently stayed at NORTHPOINT treatment center for a 28 days stay and there is absolutely nothing bad that I can say about the program. The medical staff was extremely helpful with the detox. The clinical team and counselors were extremely qualified friendly and went the extra mile to assist in making sure clients had a solid aftercare plan following treatment. The facility itself is immaculate. Comfortable rooms, comfortable lounge areas, comfortable classrooms. The food there is catered, It’s excellent. The housekeeping and Kitchen staff were extremely friendly and personable. Some of the most important things I got out of the program were from the amazing curriculum that is utilized there and the offsite NA and NA meetings available many nights of the week. There are also offsite activities such as boxing bookstores, bowling, And any other acceptable suggestions offered by clients. This was an amazing experience that has changed my outlook on addiction and recovery. I made a tremendous amount of friends and family there and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a life-changing experience.

Overall my experience at Northpoint was really positive. It's clear that most of the staff truly care and want you to succeed. The facility is clean and bright. There is one major issue that I think needs to be addressed though, and that is communication. Communication between staff and between staff and patients could use some improvement. Other than that, my stay at Northpoint was overall positive. I learned a lot of things that will help me going forward on this journey of sobriety, so to that I say thank you to Northpoint and all of the staff for doing what you do.

I cannot recommend NP enough! Literally every single staff member is exceptional and goes out of their way regularly to make sure you’re taken care of and they never make you feel like you’re putting them out. I would tell new people that the staff do everything they can to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible so you can devote 100% of your energy to your recovery. The food was good and the kitchen crew would regularly search the back for stuff if you ask for it and they have it. There’s also plenty of coffee, tea, a Coke fountain drink machine and they stock lots of snacks like popcorn, goldfish, chips, trail mix, a huge basket of mixed candy (snack size Twix, M&Ms, Snickers, etc), cheese sticks, meat sticks, fig newtons, granola bars and I’m sure other things I’m forgetting. The groups they have are also great and you get a mix of different counselors and group leaders so you get exposed to a bunch of different views. Almost all the counselors and staff are also in recovery so there’s never any judgement and it is always a safe place to discuss whatever you need to discuss. There is also a weekly round table meeting with all patients and many of the administrative staff where we are able to give suggestions on changes/improvements we’d like to see. In my 28 days there I saw them actually put some of the suggestions into practice so they actually do listen. They keep you pretty busy throughout the day with set schedules each day so the days go by quickly and you are constantly focused on self improvement and don’t have a lot of downtime to sit and beat yourself up for the things you’ve done and can’t change. There are breaks for lunch and dinner then the evenings are free which is great because you can build relationships outside of the structured groups with other people you are going through the program with. The easiest way I can explain how much I think of NP is by saying if any of my children or family were to ever need help I would take them nowhere else!
