I recently had the opportunity to engage with the Facing Recovery group at Mountainside Treatment in NYC, and I was thoroughly impressed by the dedication and support provided, especially by Travis Alfonso. The environment was incredibly welcoming and supportive, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging. It’s clear that Travis is deeply committed to making a positive impact, and Mountainside's efforts are truly making a difference. The sessions were insightful and empowering, offering valuable perspectives and resources. I highly recommend this group to anyone looking for support and a sense of community in their recovery journey. Plus, the snacks are top-notch!

If you are in search of a group session other than a traditional AA meeting then search no more: Facing Recovery with Travis is where it’s at. Attending his meetings is the highlight of my week. Travis has created a safe, judgement-free and inclusive space for anyone on a path toward a drug or alcohol-free lifestyle. Mountainside’s clean, serene, and minimalist facility provides a calming and relaxed environment to gather in. Highly recommend for New Yorkers.

I went to my 1st meeting at mountainside because the facilitator invited me, and I wanted to support. This was my 1st experience at mountainside, and I was thoroughly impressed with their recovery center. It's warm and inviting, with a calming energy flowing throughout. This was my 1st meeting with Travis as a facilitator. He instantly put me at ease made me feel welcomed, and made me feel I was in a safe space. He thoroughly engages with everyone that shows up,drawing everyone into the conversation. You're there to do work, and you're reminded of that. I was so appreciative of that. I felt like I was there for a reason, felt safe and protected. I also knew instinctively from his energy that he will guide the directional jeep it on course.

I just started attending the 6:30 Wednesday night meeting two weeks ago and am so happy I did! Run by the exquisite Travis James, who is incredibly supportive, gracious and kind, I found it very easy to open up about difficult struggles. As I sensed everyone else did as well. Warm and a very safe space that I would highly recommend if you are looking for place to be a part of and are going through any kind of a hard time and recovery.
