Great Experience

I went to mount Regis in January through February of 2023 and it was the first rehab I stayed the entire 30 days I was assigned and councilors such as Bill, Jarvis, Kevin, Chris all really bonded with me to help me on my journey in life. No place is perfect but this was a safe place I could call my home for a month before getting back into the real world and trying my best to recover. Nothing but love for Regis. Accudetox with Jarvis listening to ocean waves over the tv will always be a safe place in my heart ❤️ will visit soon

Describing my experience at Mt Regis, a few words come to mind. The environment was respectful, caring, understanding and supportive. We were treated as adults that have worth. I feel that everyone did their job to the best of their ability considering the large number of those seeking treatment. I felt like I was part of my recovery team. If I had questions,.they were answered promptly by each relative department. The doctors were knowledgeable in diagnosis and helpful in educating me to understand my specific treatment plan. The counselors were inspiring and patient. They really knew what I was going through. Their honesty fostered respect. We stayed busy with different classes so there was no time to be bored. Special meetings like Sunday bible study helped with placing faith in a higher power. Some sessions had talented musicians, meditation, and other activities to show a different way to relate. The specialty track of recovery was tailored to each individual providing the best chance of successful recovery. It was grounded in our initial counseling sessions. Many times I heard others exclaim they would be interested in a future career in counseling. That is a tribute to their example. The administration was efficient. They were professional concerning financial information. The discharge offices offered help and guidance for when I left treatment at Mt Regis . They assisted in managing personal problems (financial, work, legal, etc) that I could not take care of at the time. Their knowledge and genuine concern was evident when they.asked me about my future plans. The facility was clean and maintenance was promptly taken care of. I always felt safe and secure during my stay. The recovery coaches helped with just about everything. If they could not answer your question, they told you who could. One of the best things was the food. I thought it was so good I gained weight. The kitchen staff were friendly and they always made you smile. The kitchen and dining areas were clean. All of those who worked in or helped out during meal times to feed everyone deserve praise. The dorm rooms were adequately furnished, being cleaned and resupplied for necessary toiletries and general upkeep . Last but not least, all of the nursing, pharmacy, and lab workers were excellent. They contributed perhaps more than anyone to our safety and health. Their patience and careful attention to detail is extraordinary. I cannot forget the extra fun activities, the many games, trips outside, YMCA, inspiring guest speakers, the AA/na meetings which are all part of the experience. Even with such a wide variety of people, I am proud to say, when I was there, we all got along with each other fine. There is a reason Mt Regis of Salem is considered one of if not the best rehab there is. It's the people. Thank you Mt Regis. I almost asked for a t-shirt when I left. I know you are on my side.
