What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
Amazing Facility, Amazing staff. I have gone to other treatment centers covered by Kaiser and this is by far the best. Great place to detox and love the positive environment, great food and snacks . I love that patients keep on going after our mandatory schedules to do AA Book study NA/AA panels (optional) but keeps me busy. I would give them a 5 but there’s always room for improvement. The pool needs work, sometimes short staffed and cuts our free time before curfew. I had other options before choosing Laguna Treatment Center. I chose them for DUO diagnosis anxiety, depression, PTSD but was disappointed when I found out You only get to see therapist ONCE a WEEK and been advocating to see the psychiatrist but had no luck. I’m only doing 30 days due to work, I would stay 60 days if I could. I gave them a 4 for personal reasons but other that a great treatment center.
Very helpful in my recovery journey. Bijan was very helpful with admissions, facilitators (Gilbert, Kendall, Maria, Richard) were very knowledgeable and supportive. My therapist(Vee) has been one of the best I’ve ever worked with and the techs and nurses were very attentive and professional. Manny especially works hard and cares about what he does here.
I had to update my review from previous. Any issues I had earlier were resolved by the caring professionals that work here. There were different avenues I could have pursued and I am grateful that we could talk and get what I needed done. They were also very responsive to any input and helped a lot of clients with this process as well. If you have an opportunity to choose Laguna Treatment center, I highly recommend it. A grateful U.S. Veteran here!
This facility is amazing! The staff are professional and compassionate. The food is good and I love the salad bar and the variety of fresh food that is available. The chef here is creative and uses fresh food; not your typical institutional food. The meetings, therapy and groups here are truly motivating. There is a pool, basketball court and pickle ball court as well as air hockey foosball and many other ways to play. The gym is small but furnished well with equipment. There is so much here for activities—arts and crafts, yoga, movies and much more. This is one of the best facilities available in the U.S.
Staff here is absolutely amazing and so welcoming. Everyone I have met have made me feel at home. Groups are so much fun and there’s so many opportunities to get to know other patients and make friends. The environment is nice, clean, and comfortable. I love spending time by the pool playing volleyball, doing crafts, playing ping pong, and so much more. Jean is my absolute favorite person i have met here! She has my artwork hanging up in her office and she brings such a fun vibe to everything! I would definitely recommend this place as I have been to a few treatment centers and this is my favorite by far.
4.5 stars
Case management and therapy are very good, as is medication management. You may need to do some self-advocacy since it is a larger facility, but I had no issues if a concern was expressed.
Facilitation is a little hit or miss. Gilbert is an excellent facilitator and a genuinely caring human. I was fortunate enough to go on a trip with Gilbert and about a dozen other patients to a Native American sweat lodge. What an amazing experience, thanks to Gilbert’s advocacy for the patients at this facility.
The food is sub-par, which may not be a large issue for many seeking treatment for an addiction, but it did cause some issues for me.
