About Kemah Palms Recovery

Our treatment program is based on a firm belief in the following principles. Substance abuse is connected to other behavioral problems, and dealing with the underlying issues behind all your struggles gives you the best opportunity for success throughout treatment and recovery. The decision to seek treatment, and to actively seek true recovery throughout treatment, is an essential choice that must be made daily. Each day is a promise to your future, not a consequence of your past. Joy is a value to be pursued relentlessly and unapologetically.

What Our Patients Say About Us

KPR is a wonderful place, not only for treatment, but also to learn how to live a better/happier life. The Director of Operations is a fantastic teacher, as is the Counselor Malory. In fact I didn't meet a single staff member that wasn't kind, with the client's care as top priority.... Oh, and the house is absolutely beautiful.

Amazing place and staff! I got the skill set and tools I desperately needed to maintain my sobriety. The programs and groups that they offer are amazing and these are truly some of the most non-judgmental people I've ever met. The kindness and support is overwhelming. You experience some pretty busy days, but it's for your own benefit. In addition to chemical dependency groups, I loved art therapy, music therapy, equine therapy, and last but certainly not least, Sparky the dog!! They pay attention to medical and behavioral health needs and make sure you have plenty of chef-prepared meals for nutrition. You sincerely changed my life and I appreciate all you have done and continue to do for me. Thank you for being such an integral part of my recovery.

I have been to a handful of treatment facilities, and this one by far is my favorite. From the case managers, Stephanie and Julie, to the RA’s, like Cat and Matthew, to the food cooked by Chef Anthony, KPR’s entire team is top notch at helping residents with their healing process. Also, the clinical staff, including Cherie and Neosha, are amazing LCDC’s to work with! Overall, my experience at KPR has been great one!

I have been here for 30 days and it has been great the time flew by because they kept us so busy. For sure I have to brag on the Chefs, I have gained 10 pounds. Kemah Palms has supplied me with the tools I need to be successful. I recommend Kemah Palms if you need a place to recover.

It was alright. There were some times I felt like my health mental or physical, was of importance. I was sick and still had to attend all groups. There was a man who harassed me every day for a week. Not much was done until he decided it was best to leave bc he felt like everyone was against him. I was ridiculed for my sexuality, accused of bringing alcohol and drugs into the facility, and threatened by this man. One of the derogatory homophobia comments he made was right in front of Tabitha and I asked her if she would do anything about it. Her response was “well what do you want me to do.” This was not my first time at Kemah Palms but it was the worst experience this time. The first time I was here, I loved this facility. The way it was ran, the staff, and the structure of it all. I didn’t have that feeling this time. What I can say is that there is a wonderful team of RA’s and counselors. Ms Day, Ms Sheree, Neosha, and Mickey are wonderful counselors. They care. You can tell by the way they operate and talk to us that they’re genuinely here to support us and they want what’s best for us. Matthew, Cody, Julie, Mandy, Abby, Kat, and joel are wonderful wonderful RA’s. They show so much compassion, care, and love for what they do. They make this a safe space and they give us more than enough support to stay successful in our sobriety, without them, I don’t think I would be where I am today. Special thanks to all of them.
