Green mountain treatment center is a beautiful place for those seeking recovery. The views are breathtaking and the center is very nice. I would be able to send any friend or family member here with ease and peace knowing they will be taken care of by such amazing staff who are beyond committed to clients recovery and surrounded by nothing but support, beautiful views, and a tight knit uplifting community. That being said, the alumni program offers so much to the community and is coordinated by amazing alumni who is always there to lend a hand and support others through their journey. The alumni program at Green Mountain Treatment Center is nothing short of incredible. While the treatment I received was absolutely top-notch, what truly sets Green Mountain apart is the level of care and connection they provide after you leave the facility. The alumni program is exactly what I needed because leaving rehab is never easy but ongoing support from especially from the staff, it’s pretty obvious that genuinely cares I’ve built lasting friendships and found a sense of purpose and belonging that I never thought possible. When the pain gets great enough and you’re ready for treatment, just know that Green Mountain doesn’t just help you get clean—they help you stay connected, empowered, and make sure you’re thriving. The alumni program is the heart of that promise, and I’m endlessly grateful for everything they have done and continue to do!

To the Green Mountain Team, Words can never truly express how grateful and thankful I am for helping to save my daughter’s life. I was told that any one who comes to the mountain is never the same when they leave. The transformation from the evening I brought her to the mountain to the person she is today after leaving the mountain is a precious and priceless gift! Every person on this team shared their unique experiences and wisdom to help her embrace sobriety. The many phone calls and texts to and from staff, sometimes after hours and weekends helped me to understand the program and stay connected with her on this journey. How do I fully express my deepest gratitude to Green Mountain. They have saved my life, both figuratively and LITERALLY. The facility itself is set on a mountain in Effingham, the view takes your breath away and instills a feeling of serenity and tranquility. You can feel God is there. The staff are simply amazing, Angels from heaven. Most are also recovering addicts/alcoholics themselves and bring their experience, strength and knowledge to the work they do. Their complete, 100% commitment to the lives of the clients is awe inspiring. Nowhere have I found better people. The curriculum is widespread but relies heavily on The Model of Addiction, (brilliant stuff!) and Alcoholics Anonymous. AA has been around since the 1930’s, is the original 12 Step program and helped millions of addicts/alcoholics. The 12 Step coordinators at Green Mountain are the best there is. The case managers and clinicians are completely committed to your success. They also have, in my mind, the best program for Veterans, Rally Point. Run by staff that are Vets/First Responders for Vets/First Responders it saved my life and has given me personal relationships I will cherish throughout my life. I always looked forward to the Rally Point meeting, best part of my day. Once you come through the gates of Green Mountain, you are Alumni. This is a huge blessing. We have an Alumni meeting led by our Alumni Coordinators every week. The opposite of addiction is CONNECTION and this can’t be more evident as at the wonderful Alumni Meetings. We are family, here to celebrate and support each other.
