About Green Mountain Treatment Center – Inpatient Drug Detox & Alcohol Rehab
Addiction treatment centers come in many shapes, sizes, and approaches. Some are exclusively clinical in nature while some choose to focus on spiritual approaches like that found in the 12 Steps of A.A. Still others, and thankfully few, use punitive means to modify behavior while a growing number choose to treat addiction to drugs with more drugs.
Mission & Vision
To transform lives by setting a higher standard for accessible client-centered treatment through our commitment to innovation, accountability, and compassionate care to facilitate positive, lasting change.

What Our Patients Say About Us
Reviews
Green mountain and granite recovery centers saved my life. They showed me that I could live like other people, they taught me how to be a man that takes responsibility and accepts accountability. They showed me there is a way out from all the darkness. From the staff to the amenities this place is amazing. You wanna heal in the beautiful mountains of NH Let’s GOOOOO!!!!! Thank you everyone at green mountain new freedom academy and the granite house for always believing in me and helping me push through the storm to see the sunshine. They have given me back a life. With my family and that is truly a huge blessing I can’t say enough.!!!!!
Green Mountain Treatment Center saved my life, pure and simple. I went there more than once, but the most recent stay was the first time I truly wanted to get sober. Much good can be said about their facility and the stunning views, the caring 12 step coordinators, counselors, therapists, and nurses...but what truly sets this facility apart from the others in New England is their programming. This is the place where you will get the truth about your disease and the truth about what THE solution is. This program and the almost two months I spent working it gave me my life back. I had lost virtually everything, but because of the foundation I began building at GMTC I am now 19 months clean and sober, am a parent to my now two year old, a sponsor to multiple men in AA, in school for addiction counseling and a supervisor at a residential treatment center in Massachusetts. If they would let me back sober to work their program again I would...that's how good it is. HIGHLY recommend to anyone struggling with addiction or to any family looking for somewhere to send their loved one who is struggling.
Words cannot describe the wonderful things this Mountain has done for me. It was my first and God willing my only treatment center experience and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. A majority of the staff here are also in recovery, which makes an incredible difference knowing that the people teaching me have been exactly where I was. The 12 steps and Green Mountain brought me towards God and led me to a peace that I never could have imagined. I thank God every day for my time on this mountain. People call it Magic Mountain for a reason. And the VIEWS make it so much better. I’ve met friends that turned into family and will be family for life. I’m so blessed and grateful for the opportunity to attend treatment here.
I went to the mountain twice in 5 months. All of the employees are great and were a huge reason why I stayed for as long as I did. When I returned, Kendra and Robert came to see me and helped me make one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make. Through tough love and some hard truths, they helped me to realize I had to change everything or I was going to lose my life to this disease. 12 step coordinator Meg was a huge help to me. She knew what to say and when to say it. She was always there for all of the clients and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She is the kindest most purest soul I have ever met. She had the biggest part in the progress I made while I was at the mountain. The staff truly cared, my clinician Michelle taught me so much and helped me through all my challenges. I was taught how to build a foundation for a life in recovery. I was set up with sober living and just got my 90 day chip! LET'S GOOOOOO!
