Green Mountain Treatment Center – Inpatient Drug Detox & Alcohol Rehab

Green Mountain is truly a one of a kind treatment facility. The staff genuinely care about each and every resident on a personal level; teaching the 12 steps from lived experience. In my personal opinion there is no better treatment center in New England to have a spiritual awakening than at Green Mt. The people are great, the food is great, the curriculum is engaging and the views are breathtaking. If you or someone you know is struggling this is the place to make the change.

I came to Green Mountain simply expecting to become sober and work on my mental health. Not only did I accomplish this but I grew spiritually and emotionally, forming both lifelong friends who I consider to be some of my most trusted loved ones and a healthy relationship with my higher power. The staff at the mountain are incredibly understanding and empathetic, both sharing their stories of recovery and actively listening to and helping with my own story of recovery. I am without a doubt a better person because of the twelve steps and Green Mountain, and am so thankful for the tools given to me and the time invested in my sobriety. Every single twelve step coordinator has a special place in my heart, each for a different reason. This is because they truly care about me as a person and my sobriety. Every single staff member on the mountain genuinely cares for all of their clients, or else they wouldn’t be in the field.

Green Mountain Treatment Center is such a phenomenal facility across the board. The staff are all knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely committed to helping clients through their recovery journey. The facility itself is beautiful and peaceful, which can really help create a calm and restorative atmosphere. GMTC teaches how to live a balanced, sober life, not just abstaining from substances, but learning the skills to thrive emotionally, socially, and mentally. For anyone ready to take steps toward lasting sobriety, this center provides a supportive and effective environment!!

How do I fully express my deepest gratitude to Green Mountain. They have saved my life, both figuratively and LITERALLY. The facility itself is set on a mountain in Effingham, the view takes your breath away and instills a feeling of serenity and tranquility. You can feel God is there. The staff are simply amazing, Angels from heaven. Most are also recovering addicts/alcoholics themselves and bring their experience, strength and knowledge to the work they do. Their complete, 100% commitment to the lives of the clients is awe inspiring. Nowhere have I found better people. The curriculum is widespread but relies heavily on The Model of Addiction, (brilliant stuff!) and Alcoholics Anonymous. AA has been around since the 1930’s, is the original 12 Step program and helped millions of addicts/alcoholics. The 12 Step coordinators at Green Mountain are the best there is. The case managers and clinicians are completely committed to your success. They also have, in my mind, the best program for Veterans, Rally Point. Run by staff that are Vets/First Responders for Vets/First Responders it saved my life and has given me personal relationships I will cherish throughout my life. I always looked forward to the Rally Point meeting, best part of my day. Once you come through the gates of Green Mountain, you are Alumni. This is a huge blessing. We have an Alumni meeting led by our Alumni Coordinators every week. The opposite of addiction is CONNECTION and this can’t be more evident as at the wonderful Alumni Meetings. We are family, here to celebrate and support each other. In my opinion, Green Mountain Treatment Center is the absolute pinnacle, what other treatment centers should strive to become There is none better. Thank you- Jim O

Green mountain and granite recovery centers saved my life. They showed me that I could live like other people, they taught me how to be a man that takes responsibility and accepts accountability. They showed me there is a way out from all the darkness. From the staff to the amenities this place is amazing. You wanna heal in the beautiful mountains of NH Let’s GOOOOO!!!!! Thank you everyone at green mountain new freedom academy and the granite house for always believing in me and helping me push through the storm to see the sunshine. They have given me back a life.
