What Our Patients Say About Us

My time at Great Oaks was a great experience.

My time at Great Oaks was a great experience. It was my first time in rehab and it all made sense!! The counselors are doing an amazing job. And my peers were very helpful in my recovery. A great support system for each other. I'd like to thank Amy, Jody and Caty for their great knowledge of how to get people sober and stay sober. A great place to recover. Special thx to Patrick who got me to open up about a lot of things that were inside of me for a long time!

Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

I have been out of Great Oaks for nearly 2 months now. The recovery center has propelled me to a place in life I thought I would never see again. The curriculum is outstanding. The facilitators are very special people and go way beyond what would be considered job requirements. They care about you and will lead you on a path to recovery if you are willing to listen and do the work. You will experience a few tears and a lot of laughter as you grow in the community. The staff is wonderful from top to bottom. The food is exceptional and the setting is great. Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

The staff at Great Oaks changed my life. The veterans' program with Patrick specifically is incredible. If anyone you know is struggling with addiction, this is the only place I'd recommend to you. The facility itself is not in the best of shape and Summit Healthcare (the owner) needs to invest a BIG chunk of cash into it, but the quality of the program overrides the condition of the place. It's truly special. Summit REALLY needs to up the pay for the techs though. They lose amazing people because they don't pay them enough to live.

This is the real David B. A.K.A. Shiney David, there is a disgruntled ex employee making fake reviews I'm David and my friend Heather didn't put a bad review here either. I recommend this treatment facility 110%! This place and the staff there saved my life! I was so close to death when I went through the door that I know I wouldn't have made it to the next day. They made me feel like family right off and treated me with empathy and respect! I will always be greatful and loyal to G.O.R.C. Tactical Recovery was great and I learned more in my time here than the last 15 years of recovery.

I just completed my 45 day trek and couldn't be more happier. 12/30/25 This was my 3rd time in rehab, 2nd with Great Oaks. The food was great, staff and of course Patrick my counselor and Jody my Case Manager. Strongly recommend those two. I chose Great Oaks because my first time in rehab felt like a jail even though it wasn't state funded. Also, I loved how it was way out in BFE which is funny because it's in the small town of Egypt TX. First rehab was in the city. Once my wife found Great Oaks I didn't even care about Google reviews. I just told my wife that's the place, set it up. VERY fast response and I was offered either same day or next day even though both times were very late at night when my wife called to set them up. My only complaint unfortunately is about some of the nursing staff. SOME, not all. The techs Terri, Miranda, Morgan and Meryland, think I spelt her name wrong all kicked ass and also helped out with my recovery. I read some pretty bad reviews and those maybe accurate accounts of their experience but it's also based on a person's perspective in what they want out of their own recovery. Great Oaks worked wonders for me and I'm greatly appreciative of the whole staff. Also, Miss Amy and Katie ROCK. Couldn't forget about them. I also left there with a group of new friend's that I'm looking forward to catching meetings and Alumni events with. I strongly recommend Great Oaks Recovery! Thanks again!
