The facility itself is well-maintained and provides a peaceful environment conducive to healing and growth. Being so close to the ocean adds a serene, calming presence that nurtures the spirit and helps in the recovery process. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. The team at Free by the Sea is beyond amazing. Their dedication and genuine care for each individual are palpable in every interaction. The counselors, medical staff, and support team all work seamlessly together to create a holistic and nurturing experience. I was referred to Free by The Sea by a detox facility and I am so grateful that I was. Free by the sea gives you everything you need to start a life in recovery. The fact that I was able to see a therapist a doctor and a counselor all on property was so helpful. I really enjoyed the earned freedom that you get after moving from residential treatment to php. I was able to leave property and visit family or work, while always having a safe place to come back to with accountability and support. The staff is very friendly and the food is a huge bonus. Being so close to the ocean and nature make for a very healing environment. I would definitely recommend making the investment in yourself and giving yourself the opportunity to better your life by coming to Free By The Sea If you or a loved one struggles with addiction. It may save your life.

I got my life back here. I spent 5 full months here, and can say it’s easily the most complete program I’ve come across on my recovery journey. The staff are nice, and the place is comfortable, and in a beautiful location, and there’s a good prevailing culture among the residents.

Free by the sea truly changed my life. I came here broken, scared, uncertain, and unsure why and how I wanted to stop using substances. I left liking and loving myself so much more, with the knowledge about how and why I want to stay sober. I am so grateful for all the staff here, all of them. Special shoutout to Jared, Kurt and my counselors Brian and sue, who helped me introspect and learn who I am on a deeper level. I do think the care here is out of the ordinary in a good way, and the name is not just a cliche or play on words, I was truly freed by the sea. The structure of classes is very nice, and the community of peers at the time I was here aided me greatly. I am so grateful to God for bringing me free by the sea, and changing me for the better through this program.

Definitely became a new person at this place. Everywhere has its ups and downs, but this place has mostly ups. The peer connection, in depth classes, and mental health treatment is amazing. The counselors here are absolutely remarkable, they truly changed my life. I’m going to be forever grateful for this facility and the amazing things they did for me. I recommend this place to anyone looking for recovery. I’ve been given a second chance thanks to Free by the Sea. A huge shoutout to Ronnie, Jen, Lisa, and Kurt for being amazing counselors and Nina, Patty, and Jeff for being such great techs who always are there to listen.
