Fairwinds Substance Disorder Treatment Center

Fairwinds saved my life. I've been sober for a year and a half and going strong because of the help I got there. I can honestly say if you want it, listen to everything being said to you there and do the work on yourself you will love your life. The nurses and therapist helped me in so many ways. I was comfortable and felt safe while I was there.

I had a great experience at Fairwinds! The groups were helpful, I was able to see the doctor everyday Monday-Friday, and I had 2 sessions per week with my therapist plus one weekly family therapy session. The staff is caring and attentive. Just like with any treatment program though, YOU will get what YOU put into it. If you are not willing to do the work, you will not magically change. There has to be willingness and openmindedness. I am so grateful to this facility!

The staff is so helpful, loving, and encouraging. There’s ALOT of rules in place and it’s frustrating sometimes, but it’s there for a reason and I slowly realized that. There’s people with all sorts of different problems that calls for different rules. You have no idea what people are going through next to you so be mindful of what your complaining about and to who! There’s not too much to do on the weekends so come with crossword puzzles, books, water coloring, an approved MP3 player (they will send you the link ahead prior to coming to get the correct one) I was in E.D I enjoyed the variety of options when it came to dining. Kendal was my therapist and she was wonderful. She understood me and was my first therapist I’ve ever talked to. The only things that bothered me is the fact that they I don’t believe they clean the day room couches and I feel like they could deep clean once or twice a month. The odors are not the best. The itineraries were not updated like if the pool is closed in winter. Why is the pool listed on the itinerary during winter….. And the agency staff members dispensing meds….
