What Our Patients Say About Us

Success

I rarely write reviews but in this case I must. I have been to multiple treatment centers. Some were pretty good, and some were not. Ultimately, my success with recovery is my responsibility, but the treatment facility is important to start my foundation. Excel Treatment Center is by far the best experience I have ever had. It is also the last treatment center I have been to. I have been clean and sober for 8 months now! Excel inspired me. Their clinicians are rock solid, and they truly care. Most importantly there is a community that has been built around Excel. Many of the clients live at Milestone House. Both Excel and Milestone have been around for over a decade. There are active alumni who are living recovery! I am proud to say I am one of them. EXCEL is awesome! Love and Respect-

Paul

Great Staff

My experience with Excel Treatment Center was fantastic. I felt that I received quality care here, as opposed to other facilities that I have been to. The staff is the most exceptional, loving and caring in the recovery community. I don't know where I would be without them

Safe

I was scared to bring my loved one to treatment, but when I got there, we felt safe. The staff is wonderful and the house is beautiful! The counselor made sure to reach out consistently which gave me a lot of relief. We both learned so much, I was happy that they had family groups for loved ones. My loved one felt heard and supported! I’m truly grateful that such a wonderful place works so well with so many people who struggle.

I can’t say enough about how amazing Excel Treatment Center is. I have no idea where I would’ve ended up without them. They aided me at my lowest point no questions asked, helping my mother with process of getting me there while I was unavailable. Every staff member was key in my recovery. Whether it’s the clinicians of the office staff, everyone one of them are there to help and they do so in a caring manner. Five stars all around because Excel Treatment Center helped give me a chance at a new life. They will always special place in my heart.

Prior to coming to excel I had been clean for 5 years and then relapsed. Having had a lot of experience going to treatment trying everything from out patient to long term in patient and sober living, I figured I probably needed a combination of the two because my circumstances had changed. I’m married with a three year old daughter and a career and that wasn’t the case when I first got sober in 2016 but I did decide to go to a sober living house that I had some experience with from that time period. Excel was a requirement of the sober living I went to (The Milestone House) and I’m very glad that was the case. The combination of group therapy, with individual counseling and progress based not solely on the curriculum of Excel but how I was actually doing, along with the family program really was the complete package. The groups were always a highlight for me because of the camaraderie and closeness of the community and the ways they kept it very interesting as far as guest speakers, events and activities. The counselors and the staff there really care in a genuine way that’s hard to describe because it’s so diverse. I was helped one way or another by every staff member at some point in my journey and that is not something that is often duplicated. Excel takes into account life on life’s terms. My needs when I first got recovery in 2016 weren’t the same in 2023. Obviously recovery is first or there are no other needs but they helped me to figure out a schedule that worked not only for my employer but more importantly to drive an hour home to see my Daughter and Wife. In my humble opinion the difference with Excel isn’t only the level of care but the level of how much they care. I would suggest Excel for anyone looking to find sobriety no matter what your situation is. I’ve already recommended a very close friend come here who was on the brink of dying and he completed the program a few months after me and is reunited with his family and doing really well.

Excel was instrumental in helping me change my life for the better, longterm. The balance of group and individual therapy was excellent, and I developed an impactful working relationship with my individual counselor. I also found that the step down process worked well for me, and all staff I interacted with were warm, professional, and helpful. I would highly recommend Excel because of the caring atmosphere and effective programming.

I have been sober for over 11 years now. I have been a part of the Excel and Milestone community the whole time. People like Mike Frank and Nikoletta Danicic have built something that sets them apart from all of the other treatment options in New Jersey. A real and lasting commitment to community. You can feel the difference when you’re here. From the different houses to the coffee shop, The Good Bean. Everything feels intentional and well thought out. Aesthetics are nice but ultimately it’s what’s underneath that counts. That goes for people as well as a treatment center. Who works there? Why do they work there? This stuff matters. The people who are drawn to working here feel a connection to the community and it shows. Ultimately what it comes down to is this… would I trust them with my family or friends? 100%. I believe they would provide them with the best care I would want for them.
