Capstone Treatment Center

I went there personally for three months. This place has had such a positive impact on me. The staff there are absolutely amazing and care for you so deeply. They do their best to understand where you are at. This program has helped me get into healthy routines like working out daily, taking care of my puppy, And having a healthy schedule in general! I have zero bad things to say about this place. I highly recommend. I don’t know where I would be without capstone. The treatment was very intensive, but has helped my family and I out in so many ways!

Capstone has been a defining part of our family’s journey during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. As a mom of a 16-year-old struggling with substance use and mental health, I had done the research, read the books, and tried the therapy—but Capstone brought something different that we truly needed. I truly believe God led me to this place, and He continues to guide our journey every step of the way. The counseling process is exceptional. Our counselor, Matthew, has been both professional and deeply personal in the way he supports our family. My son connected with him in a way that isn’t easy for teenage boys, and that relationship has made a lasting impact that continues into aftercare. Family Week was one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had as a parent. It gave my son a voice and gave me insight into myself that I had never seen before—even after years of therapy. It completely changed how I show up for him. I was also struck by Adrian Hickmon’s leadership and presence. From the moment I walked in and he knew my name and my son, I felt seen. The wisdom he shared—and the time he personally took to answer my questions—was unlike anything I’ve encountered elsewhere. His perspective on focusing on small, steady progress has stayed with me and continues to guide how I support my son. For the first time in years, I see real hope. We are communicating better, growing closer, and moving in the right direction. This journey is far from over, but I trust that God is continuing to work in my son’s life. Capstone helped shift the trajectory—and that means everything.

Our son is currently enrolled at Capstone. It's difficult to put into words how amazing this place is. The level of excellence, from the therapists to the support staff, is second to none. Be advised, they do not mess around. The commitment level they require from the family is high, and for good reason. I've never experienced "tough love" like they put forth. This is a blessed place and we are grateful God led us to Capstone.

We found Capstone Treatment Center as our son was in a downward spiral and we knew we weren't equipped to help him. The night I filled out the online checklist, I received a call within 30 minutes from one of Capstone's staff. After spending time on the phone with her, we knew Capstone was the place for our son. January 29, 2019, was the beginning of healing for our son and our family. The entire program from the first call to intensive therapy and Family Week, to post-treatment calls changed our lives and saved our son. There is no other residential treatment facility for boys designed like Capstone. I highly recommend it to any family with a boy in crisis.

Sending our 15 year-old son away to a 90 day treatment program was one of the hardest things we've ever done. Absolutely everyone from the CEO to the admissions staff, therapists, and to all the other staff helped us in this tremendously difficult decision with their extreme patience, kindness, love, and support. Capstone has a top notch program with top notch therapists who truly care about their clients. Perhaps one of the most beautiful aspects of this program is the canine therapy. The love and attachment our son has for his pup is so beautiful. I would highly recommend Capstone as a treatment facility for teens/young men!
