I can only speak to my experience at Boca Recovery Center, and you get out of it what you put in. I did 15 days; 7 detox and 8 residential.
My Therapist, Laura, was phenomenal. She was available whenever I needed to speak with her and was personable and professional. She wasn’t just checking things off a clip-board, she listened and asked questions that pertained to my situation.
My case manager, Nicole, helped me by curating my rehabilitation to suit my needs. She spoke to me on a personal level and I never felt pressured into anything. We spoke about multiple options of recovery, and she worked with me to continue my sobriety on my return home by giving me therapists and meetings in my area.
My Nurse Practitioner, Meresa, did not throw drugs at me just because, I have had that happen in the past. We spoke about recommendations of prescriptions and what to expect from them. Throughout my 15 days, we adjusted the medications and found a low dosage that worked for me.
Nikki, the Alumni Coordinator has reached out to me several times, upon me returning home, to check on me. Weekly AA zoom meetings are available through her and they are organized and well led. This is very helpful for me and I appreciate that I have that, as a resource.
The lead Tech, G, was available and a genuinely great guy. As were most of the Techs, some were just collecting a paycheck, but most cared and I respect that and them.
This was not my first rehab, but the people I met and the conversations we had, really helped center me. I’m not religious and not particularly spiritual, and I never felt anyone pushing me to accept anything other than self reliance.
Today marks my 30 days of sobriety, something I have not achieved with other rehab experiences, and I am grateful to Boca for paving the way. It falls on me to continue the path, but their help was tremendous in building me up to be able to be here today.
The only thing I would criticize would be some of the group sessions were led by in-house therapists, nurses, and case managers. I would have preferred a third-party come in and lead the sessions so the in-house team could focus on their caseload.
Overall 5 stars, if you need help with substance issues, please reach out to someone, anyone that you trust to help. Boca helped me.
As a professional who has referred several individuals to Boca Recovery Center, I can confidently say their commitment to individualized care is unmatched. They don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, their team takes the time to understand each patient's unique history and needs. The staff is very professional and communicative. Bo Garfield has been stellar and Boca comes highly recommended.
Boca recovery Florida was amazing. My case manager got me everything I need and helped with legal stuff. And my therapist was the best I’ve ever had gave me answers to questions. I’ve had my whole life. Even after leaving Boca has been there for me, Nikki, the alumni Leader. Has been in constant contact with me and send out weekly reminders of the alumni zoom meeting. The food was amazing snacks and drinks 24/7, TV in your room then great people. The medical was also good. My detox was easy and smooth. Would highly recommend going to Boca recovery to anyone in need of getting help.
