Hazelden Betty Ford saved my life 100%. After struggling with addiction for over 25 years and trying numerous treatment centers across the country since 2005, I can confidently say this facility offers an unparalleled level of care.
What sets Hazelden Betty Ford apart is their personalized approach - you're actually treated like an individual, not just another patient #. The counselors are exceptionally skilled and genuinely invested in your recovery. They actually care. The staff members are compassionate and supportive, creating an environment where healing is possible. I also formed meaningful connections with my peers, some of the most genuine people I've ever met. Everyone seemed to be there for the right reasons.
For the couple negative reviews, I want to offer perspective: recovery requires honest commitment and it's not easy. If you're not ready to do the work or aren't entering treatment for the right reasons, any program will fall short. It doesn’t matter where you go, you can get sober at any facility. You can’t blame whatever center it is. I came desperately seeking help as a severely ill long term addict who started using substances 25 years ago and I was trapped in an endless cycle. I was willing to do whatever it took to get better. My dertermined mindset, combined with the excellent care I received here, made all the difference.
For anyone seriously seeking recovery and want to change your life to one that’s happy and free, I cannot recommend Hazelden Betty Ford Naples highly enough. The quality of care, expertise of the staff, and therapeutic environment are truly exceptional. The place is actually very clean and well kept. I love the community and I've never seen this level of care at any of the other treatment facilities I've been to. There is even a local Rooster named Oscar who comes by every morning to check on us and make sure we are awake for group!
(He also enjoys small healthy snacks!) I appreciate you all more than you know. Without everyone involved, I would no longer be here. I’m grateful I still am. Thanks HBF! ❤️
From the second I walked through those doors, I had the best experience with the entire staff. From the office people to the Nurses and the Techs, the Engineers Nick and Travis, the therapists and my group of friends that I met during my staff. The Condo was awesome and the groceries being delivered weekly was great! Being able to use our cell phones and lap tops was awesome! The Tuesday trips the 7-11 was always a day to look forward to and the pot luck Friday nights was so a great experience. After it was over, I found it hard to leave. It will truly be an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
Thank you for all you do!!

This place is highly beneficial for those who struggle with addiction. They take a structure and learning based approach to helping those who need it. The staff is fantastic, and the patients form a positive community environment unlike anything I have seen.!
If you or anyone you know is struggling with addiction- this place should be your first stop. An absolute asset for anyone who goes and wants to be in a better place.
I'm really surprised that more people haven't left positive reviews! It was my first time in a rehab, and those who had been to multiple rehabs in the past, talked a lot about how much better Hazelden Betty Ford Naples is compared to any of the others they had been to.
It's a 47 bed residential program (they also offer IOP). I was there for just over 30 days and can't say enough great things. Obviously the most important thing is the recovery program. Top Notch!!
There was really only one facilitator I didn't like listening to...and we were in 4-6 different sessions every day! The counselors were all fantastic (you have YOUR counselor, and if you don't click with them, you can move to a different counselor. I only know of 1 person that did that, that's how great they all are)!
The finance mgr is amazing in helping you navigate through insurance and payments. The continuing care coordinator insures you are ready for discharge with all the resources you'll need once you leave (no matter where you live!)
You choose the groceries you want from a Publix list and cook yourself...I LOVED that, way better than the detox I came from where there was a cook and you got whatever they made. There's a large gas grill on the patio and you can use that whenever you want...which my roommates and I did!
The condos are nice enough. No private rooms. I cried for 2 hours when I got there because I couldn't imagine rooming with others, at my age. But, in true recovery from alcohol and addiction, it's exactly what you need to get over yourself. My roommate and I will be friends for life, and I left with phone numbers of at least 10 people that I considered friends and will definitely stay in touch with.
No surprise, there were clients there that I loved, and others I didn't, but you have the space to avoid those folks you don't want to spend time with. And again, once released, we all need to know how to handle the good and bad in sobriety and the setting was perfect for "practicing" both fellowship with those who understand what you're going through and of patience for the others, so you don't use again when you're faced with jerks "in the real world".
There were a lot of ups and downs while I was there, and looking back, the negatives were mostly me and my disease thinking and talking for me. If you leave too soon, you most likely won't have liked the place. If you stick out a full program, this is the place to go to get better, and to get all the knowledge and tools you'll need to be successful in sobriety!!
Terrific video - Clare is remains correct, and I am grateful for my experience at Hazelden Naples fifteen years ago this past weekend. I am still sober today.
