There are no words to fully express what this recovery center has meant to my family. When my dad walked through their doors, he was struggling in ways that felt impossible to overcome. But this place—its people, its program, and the unwavering support—gave him his life back. It gave us our family back. One of the most powerful aspects of this journey are the family groups. Sitting in a room filled with others who understood the pain, the hope, and the fight to heal is something I will never forget. Hearing the stories, not just from other family members but from the clients themselves, was deeply moving. It reminded me that none of us are alone in this, and that healing happens in connection, in shared experiences, and in the courage to keep going. Even now, every time I drive up to House 3, I feel it in my chest—a sense of peace, like I can finally breathe, like everything is going to be okay. This place is more than a recovery center; it’s a home, a sanctuary, and a lifeline for so many. I will forever be grateful for what they have done for my dad and for all of us who love him.

Bay Area recovery and the staff here are a true blessing to the community and humanity, really. Billy is a person who outs recovery first and has helped our family immensely through the recovery journey. My dad has walked me down the aisle and seen the birth of all 3 of my children, with the help of BARC. Addiction and alcoholism are a terrible disease, but support from Bay Area Recovery means you don’t have to do it alone. They care and have always been there! Beyond grateful for their contribution to the serenity in my life!

Women's B.A.R.C. Inpatient SAVED my life. I entered the women's recovery center at the depths of my addiction very hopeless. This was my last effort to try to get help. I was welcomed with supportive open arms, understanding & love. Through this residential living I was provided education about my illness and many tools to equip me. If you have family, they will educate and equip them too. If you don't have family, they will be your family. I promise it works. GO! SAVE YOUR LIFE! YOU are WORTH IT!!! House 4 is a place of healing.

I am so grateful to Bay Area Recovery Center. With their professional program for alcohol and drug addiction our son was able to turn his life around. Encouragement and a strategy for wellness was the means that BARC provided for sobriety in our son’s life. The abstinence-based addiction treatment was just the first step in his recovery. He not only received tools to become successful, but with the tools came peer support from BARC’s alumni. Men who would hold him accountable, encourage him and give him hope poured love into his life. I give the BARC’s management and counselors praise as well. They are professional in their strategies and committed to carefully guiding the men who come to them. And I can say with pride that our son not only got his life back but with the inspiration he received from BARC our son is now working to help others who struggle with drug and alcohol addictions.
