★★★★★ I wasn't poured out of a car when I arrived at Bay Area Recovery Center. I washed up on their shores. Friends had been patiently guiding me there for months. Billy tolerated my hesitation, and when I finally arrived, I wasn't met with judgment or shame. I was met with acceptance, compassion, and genuine love. BARC gave me something I hadn't had in a very long time: structure, routine, and the opportunity to work on *me*. For the first time in years, I wasn't just trying to survive—I was learning how to live differently. Recovery didn't happen overnight, and BARC never pretended it would. What they offered was an environment where real change could begin. The staff cared deeply, many because they'd walked similar roads themselves. They believed in me before I fully believed in myself. One of the greatest gifts is that recovery didn't end when I completed the program. I still come back for alumni nights and meetings because the community continues to invest in people long after they leave treatment. If you're reading this because someone you love is struggling—or because you're wondering if life can really be different—I understand. I wasn't convinced either. I'm grateful I gave it a chance. Today, one of the greatest gifts of my recovery is that I get to point people toward the same hope that was extended to me. BARC didn't just help save my life. It gave the best version of myself room to emerge.

I wish I could leave 10,000 stars. When I first walked through their doors I was a shell of myself. The warmness and genuine caring of the counselors at this facility is beyond outstanding. They welcome you with open arms and meet you where you’re at. My life has been forever changed. I have learned so many skills and am ready to conquer whatever comes my way! This facility is a true blessing.

If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, I can’t recommend Bay Area Recovery Center enough. This place truly changed my life. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me with respect, compassion, and genuine care. They understand addiction because many of them have lived it themselves, and that makes a huge difference. The counselors, techs, and therapists go above and beyond to help you not only get sober, but learn how to live again. The program is structured, supportive, and focused on real recovery. They helped me build a strong foundation through the 12 steps, accountability, and a community of people who truly want to see you succeed. I met incredible people there who are serious about recovery and supporting one another. What stood out the most to me was how much the staff actually care. They don’t just see you as another client — they see you as a person with a future worth fighting for. Because of Bay Area Recovery Center, I’m leaving with hope, tools for sobriety, and a new way of living. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and for everyone there who helped guide me through one of the most important chapters of my life. If you’re ready for real change, this place can help you get there. -Garrett W.

If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction and want to do more than just get better but learn how to truly get and stay WELL this is the place. I didn’t know what to expect from inpatient rehab but it was not this! I learned about the illness of alcoholism and how to truly recovery here. After 60 days I walked away with a new life, a new toolkit, and the light in my eyes came back on. I learned new life skills on how to show up better in my family’s lives, and that’s priceless. The staff here is the real deal. They aren’t just counselors with letters behind their name but humans who have also struggled with addiction and recovered. You also get a whole community of people supporting you here. I love the environment and that I get to come back still and be a part of the next persons recovery.

This place is phenomenal!!!! My husband was in a very bad place and on the verge of losing his life....literally and BARC was able to get him in quick to detox in a safe place. The staff are amazing, helpful and have experiences of their own so they can relate to the people coming in for treatment. They make you feel at home with weekly family time to spend time with your loved one while they're on there healing journey. Joe Shipley is amazing he helped me over the phone and helped my husband while he was there. I can now say my husband has fully recovered because of BARC and saved his life as they have done with soo many others. I now have my Georgie back and we're stronger now more than ever! THANK YOU BARC FOR BRINGING MY HUSBAND BACK TO LIFE!!! WE TRULY ARE BLESSED AND GRATEFUL FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE!!!! -CASIE SHORES TO ALL THE STAFF-YA'LL KEEP GOING AND KEEP SAVING LIVES YA'LL ARE AMAZING KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!
