Banyan – Palm Springs

From the very beginning Banyan took great care of me mentally, physically and spiritually. I went in a broken, lost alcoholic hoping to find a reason to live. I left sober, strong, determined and dedicated to make my life worth living. Alberto one of the driver's for Banyan, picked me up in July of 2021 and drove me home November of 2021. He witnessed first hand my transformation. His genuine sincerity for my journey is truly appreciated. Banyan's facility was welcoming and comfortable. The staff were encouraging and professional. As a Veteran I found the discipline and structure of the daily activities, (classes, workshops, meetings etc) nostalgic. Linda, my therapist, was sweet, kind and attentive. She listened to our stories as a group and individually with authentic consideration and understanding. Teddy, the allumni coordinator was/is an amazing addition to the Banyan experience. His group time with us always put me in a happier and healthier mindset. Teddy's enthusiastic vibe was/is absolutely contagious. His enthusiasm brought even the shyiest client out of their shell. look forward to the Alumni meetings twice a week and the Alumni events that Teddy hosts. Today I am 20 months and two weeks, 622 days sober. Since I've left Banyan in November of 2021, I have gone back to college and became an author. Without Banyan I honestly don't believe I would have been able to be who I am today and for that I thank each and every one of you.

I love this company, the staff has been amazing to me during my recovery process. The meals are the best part. If you’re looking for a safe comfortable place to grow this is the place. The community is also very strong, I’ve gotten very close with a few people here & they gave me a safe space to share my story.
