Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks

My journey at Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks has truly been life-changing. When I first arrived, I was broken, tired, and unsure if sobriety was even possible for me. The staff didn’t just see an addict they saw a person who still had hope, even when I couldn’t see it myself. From day one, I was treated with compassion, dignity, and real understanding. Every counselor, therapist, tech, and staff member played a part in helping me rebuild not only my sobriety but my confidence and sense of self. Avenues didn’t just teach me how to stop using substances they taught me how to live again. Through therapy, structure, accountability, and genuine support, I learned the tools I needed to face my past, manage my emotions, and build a healthier future. The environment was safe, supportive, and filled with people who truly cared about my success, not just during my stay but long after.Today, I am proudly six months sober something I never thought I would be able to say. Avenues gave me the foundation, the guidance, and the belief that sobriety is not only possible, but sustainable. They helped me find my voice again, my faith again, and my strength again.I walked in feeling lost. I walked out feeling renewed, hopeful, and equipped for life.I will forever be grateful to Avenues Recovery for helping me get my life back. I entered Avenues in NH in May with the intention of only doing a 7 day detox. After the 7 days I realized that 7 days was far from enough time after spending 23 years in active addiction. I sooke to my counselor I was given an opportunity to continue my recovery journey at Bucks County Avenues. I have been here for 5 months and all I can say is that my sober journey has a been nothing short of amazing. The counselors, staff and house managers have been supportive and taught me many tools to use for the future and my recovery process. If you are given the chance to attend any Avenues you will not regret it. Doing the work and with the help of the staff it has changed my life for the better. I am eternally grateful.

I am thankful to the all the staff at Avenues for their patience and dedication in wanting to help save my life over these past six months. This program is in a league of its own..and I hope that anyone who looking for a new way of life has the gifted opportunity to walk through these doors, because this was a God given gift I was rewarded. It was difficult at times, as it was meant to be. I had made connections with people that I now know and love. That love me for me. I am in a program, working the steps, and am living a sober, stable life. I’m rebuilding the relationship with my family whom means so much to me. All of this is with help of this program. This place and the counselors saved my life. I was at my bottom and I had no where to go. I suffered from multiple suicide attempts and was at the end of my road. Then I found Avenues. And they brought me in and showed me a new way. They showed me how to love myself again. They showed me all the beautiful things that come with sobriety and I could never thank them enough.
