Avenues Recovery Center

I'm writing this quickly so I'll try to be concise. Avenues has done more for me than three other rehabs could do. They focus so much on mental health being at the root of addiction as opposed to viewing it as a secondary concern. They understand people don't become addicted in a vacuum, there are generally precipitating events and Avenues will help you. I want to give two quick shout outs as well. One is my wonderful counselor Brandi K., words do not describe her competency and care. She has helped me immeasurably. The same can be said for Wendy L. Her unwavering compassion is a shining light of Avenues. If you're ready to get sober I can't recommend this place enough.

Avenues Recovery is a very welcoming place. Staff is friendly as long as you show respect in return. In general, I think that a 60 day program is the sweet spot in early recovery. The first thirty days were pretty good for returning cognitive function and the next half was really good for grounding emotional issues. This is one of the only places that has an alumni program, that is excellent for creating a sober network that can be daunting for some. Riley and Danielle have been some of the best I have encountered for helping me get sober and sober for my new lifestyle. Thanks Avenues!

I went to Avenues as I was in desperate need of some help to get past a very traumatic end to a 16 year relationship. I needed guidance and counseling in addition to a safe place to be my healing process and get clean. I couldn't have chosen a better place to start my new journey in life. The staff was friendly and genuinely caring of all their clients. Treatment plan was on point for what I needed. I feel better about life and myself than I have in 20+years. I would highly recommend Avenues for anyone in need of counseling and sobriety.

If you're willing to do the work, this place is right for you. I am glad to say I chose here over anywhere else as this place helps you work on your mental health immensely, as well as your addiction. They actually give you the tools to mentally prepare yourself for your departure, coping skills, how to curb cravings, and how to love yourself again most importantly, it won't be easy but it will be worth it. My counselor was amazing, the nurses were kind, and the food is decent. All around I'm happy to say this place probably saved my life.

I went to avenues in Prince Frederick's. There I was taught accountability responsibility and stability as well as focusing on how my addiction started by helping me focus on my past trauma Life trauma and how to love myself without avenues I wouldn't be the person that I am today I am 9 months clean. Thank you avenue so much for giving me the time of day to show me how to love myself and how to channel my inner self to bring out what I needed to work on I am living a stability life now.
