I've been to multiple rehab facilities and this was by far the best experience. On the comfort side, rooms were great, facility is constantly cleaned and spotless, food is diverse and tasty, tons of snack options, a movie theater, stocked activities room, individual ipads in the rooms and lots of fun. I honestly had FUN at this place. Dr. OG makes sure we have music and anything from smores and firepit nights to movie outings.
The level of compassion and professionalism from the staff here really stands out from the other places I've been. Nurse Raven has a heart of empathy and love. BHT Thomas handles every complaint with care and makes sure concerns are addressed immediately. I am truly impressed with the ENTIRE staff. I honestly have NO complaints, and that is saying something in itself.
Group therapy and councling were actually great. I feel confident moving into my next chapter of sobriety with the skills I've picked up here. FIVE STARS. This will be the last rehab you'll ever need.
I love this place. It's so odd to say that about a rehab facility but this was my second time coming in and I was greeted with nothing but love and positivity. Of course I felt like crap having to come back. But they Og, Chris, the BHTS and the nursing team made the transition easy. I would give 5 but the nursing staff needs some work. I did address the issue with staff and it seems to have been corrected. I truly want to thank Original, Chris, Thomas and Michelle. Yall are amazing. And the group that was here awesome!
I recently completed treatment at ADC, and have nothing but GREAT things to say about my experience. The facility was very comfortable and clean. Staff was amazing, welcoming, and caring. My team consisted of Terrence, Aaron, Chris and Dr. Original Michael. They were always there to around to talk and give me guidance, answer questions and teach me the beginning process of recovery. They always let me be heard, and showed me the other side of the coin, when I couldn’t see it myself.
Dr. Original and Chris pour their heart and souls into this program and always make sure we are smiling and learning that I can still have fun while in recovery. They helped to build my self esteem, and motivated me to work hard at this journey and show me how amazing life can get with patience and discipline. I will forever cherish their guidance, and will stay in touch, still seeking advice and guidance.
The ADC alumni group is something I look forward to joining, and keeping in touch and staying focused on recovery. It will pay huge dividends.
Dr. Original also does a Family Zoom group on Thursdays that helps educate the addict and their family about the disease and the journey of recovery. This was extremely beneficial to my family and I and I look forward to continuing participating with my family!
Thank you ADC!
You showed me the light and saved my life!
Kurt!
Atlanta Detox Center profoundly impacted my life in a positive way. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone struggling with substance and/or alcohol abuse.
The staff was welcoming, friendly, and compassionate. My therapist, Jacob, was highly knowledgeable and respectful to me during our sessions. He had tremendous insight regarding the issues that lead me to my addiction.
The group sessions were also quite helpful, as the discussions were on point and related to several issues that I was struggling with.
During my stay, I learned what my "triggers" are, how to cope, and how to transition back to my life upon discharge.
So, if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please consider Atlanta Detox Center as a highly reliable treatment facility for a journey to begin sobriety.
Amy.
Truly 9.5/10 experience at this facility. ADC is everything you’ve ever wanted a detox/rehab/mental health center to be. I was told of this place by a friend and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone I know who is needing to detox off of anything. It was clean, welcoming, and exactly what I needed to encounter during a difficult time.
Andrew picked me up from my home, which is a lovely service they offer. I felt comfortable and calmed by his presence as I made my way into an unknown situation. Upon walking in the door I was treated to ice cream cake, which really set the tone for the entire experience. Like, is detox fun? Absolutely not. But was this staff committed to making the experience as positive for everyone as they could? Absolutely yes. Thomas was welcoming during my check in and the nurses who did my intake made me feel okay about the situation. I wish I could remember every nurses name but unfortunately it’s slipped my mind, however I had such pleasant interventions with Raven!
The individualized care was thorough and uniquely tailored to setting people up for positive outcomes post-treatment. My therapist, Rene, was incredibly kind, empathetic, and seemed to genuinely care about my success. I gained more insight from her during our relatively limited sessions than I had in 2+ years of therapy outside of the program.
OG is an incredible person to have in your corner. I appreciated his wisdom and intellect and approach. He was firm but kind, and I am so glad to have encountered him along my journey. He also added little, fun moments of whimsy to the experience that provided happiness and silliness to a stressful experience, and I won’t forget that.
There were so many BHTs that brightened my day but I will shout out a few—Michelle, Diana, and Claude. I appreciated being treated like a normal human being. I never felt diminished or othered, and I feel grateful for the connections I formed with them throughout my stay.
Patrick was my concierge and I thoroughly enjoyed his insights and assistance throughout the process. He was down to earth, humorous, and we had some very productive conversations about the nature of addiction that I have found helpful post-treatment. He was also incredibly supportive after my release and helped me with some administrative stuff that I was having a hard time with.
I also received so much additional support from concierges and therapists who were not assigned to me. They never made me feel like I was burdening them or intruding in any way, everyone seemed to genuinely care about the success of the folks in treatment. Jacob was such a lovely human to have group lead by and I found myself coming to profound realizations during the classes he taught.
Additionally, Chris is the GOAT. His frank approach of not mincing words is extremely effective for people like me who tend to roll their eyes at a lot of the lessons being taught. Chris knows how to navigate the complex psyches of addicts and his words are powerful and resonate long after leaving. Upon release I was given instructions for how to attend daily morning Zoom meetings lead by him, with a smattering of other people who are recent ADC alumni and I have found this experience to be incredibly helpful. The short, daily check ins are exactly the kind of support I need to face the day and make me feel entirely less alone in this process.
The alumni program at ADC is strong—there are twice weekly Zoom calls (in addition to the morning meetings lead by Chris) that offer support to those currently attending ADC and those in post-treatment. There’s also group chats and Facebook groups that offer community support. Idk I really can’t shout it from the rooftops more, I really had a productive time here in my relatively short stay and I am happy that I had such a positive experience here.
