This facility gave me the best shot at a better life I couldn't even have imagined for myself from the start. When I walked through their doors, the admissions process was kind and comfortable. I was immediatley greeted and taken care of sensitively with understanding of the condition i was in coming into the building that day. When I got into the detox unit. My case manager approached me and immediately began the process of evaluating my situation and developing the best plan of action for me. She provided great resources, and very excellent after care opportunities that I can see giving me the greatest odds from transitioning into my next stage of recovery; to getting my life together and getting back on my feet. Moving into the residential unit i was then swiftly approached by my counselors and staff to ensure I was transitioning from one unit to the next smoothly. After that the counselors evaluated what was going on with me internally, at what stages my emotions and feelings were in, and what coping skills and potential therapies would be most beneficial to me in my current life, and in moving forwards. Working with them to learn more about myself and how I work brought much of my long term distress and pain to rest allowing me to have a more open mind and begin to see myself for who I am rather than who I was and I can't thank them enough for that. The personal break throughs and communication I was able to make and share during group therapies was next level, their staff brings amazing insight into what makes us tick and how we can help ourselves over come obstacles In our day to day lives, the residential staff members who assist the unit with daily needs are amazing as well, they make the experience here feel more at home than in a hospital facility Their meal plans were diverse and complete. With an accessible gym available to me during this time i made a very considerable transformation to better better physical health,my before and after photo brought me to tears in the best way possible. The nurses here understand the needs and conditions of the patients and do an excellent job serving their clients here. Overall my experience here was above none in the state of Rhode island. For that I am grateful to have made the hardest decision I was always afraid to make, today I feel like a new person. I highly recommend Adcare RI to anyone out there struggling with addiction.

I've been in other detox facilities before. This one is top quality care. One night while trying to make it to the bathroom. My knee gave out because of a past injury. I could not walk. I managed to get to the nurse, hopping along. And this was like 2 a.m. . The nurse gave me ice packs and a couple ibuprofen. Helped me get back to my room, propped some pillows under my knee and tucked me in. In the morning I was walking again. Thanks to the nurse on third shift in the detox unit. I really appreciate the care I received. I felt like a little boy being tucked in by his mommy.

Choosing this facility was the best decision I’ve ever made. From the moment I arrived, the staff, councelors and case managers made me feel safe and respected. They didn't just treat the addiction; they helped me get to the root of my problems through personalized, evidence-based therapy. The environment is supportive and feels like a community rather than a clinical institution. I’m leaving with a solid aftercare plan and a sense of hope I didn't think was possible. If you are serious about recovery, I can’t recommend this place enough.

The staff at this facility were really great and helpful throughout my journey this time around and the place itself is pretty well kept. The group facilitators and groups themselves were really helpful with actually understanding my addiction. I've been to a few other detox/residential places in RI and this is by far the best overall. I feel confident and supported leaving Adcare with the right tools and networks to help along the way. If you want to get sober I would highly recommend coming here.

You may be laying in bed right now, 3am contemplating and researching different places to go to for detox. You may be apprehensive, not sure where to go or what to do. Honestly, Adcare has saved my life. I was in a dark place and they helped me to bring light back into my life. The staff were amazing and understanding, groups meaningful and helpful. If you are debating on where to go for treatment Adcare is a great choice and I highly recommend their program.
