What Our Patients Say About Us

Keep up the good work!

The program and staff at AdCare exceeded my expectations. I worked closely with Victoria and Skylar both of whom provided me with a personalized experience and launched me off into a good post treatment plan. I am very much at home with my current AA group and have some trying times without buckling to what used to be triggers. The biggest things I took away from the program was honesty in my everyday life, understanding addiction and getting to know the other patients which was highly beneficial. I always enjoy running into others I met at AdCare as well as my PHP/IOP program from when I was discharged. Keep up the good work!

you will not regret it!

In my opinion this is THE BEST detox and treatment facility in Rhode Island. From the Admissions, to the counselors, and even the nurses. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and at home while providing you with the necessary tools and coping skills needed for Recovery. You can tell the counselors, such as Jess K, Amie, Melissa and Dan, really do care. They have no problem working one on one with you, talking you through hard times, and comforting you when needed. The greatest thing about this facility is that most of the counselors and even nurses have been in recovery themselves, so they really do get it and can speak to you from personal experience! When I arrived in Detox I was in rough shape, going through Withdrawals. One of the nurses, Hope saw how bad of shape I was in and you could tell she was worried and concerned about me. I thought I was going to have a seizure but Hope gave me the necessary comfort meds to stop my shakes and tremors, and calm me down. When I got up to the residential unit I even had really good conversations with the other Nurse Haley. She was able to provide insight from experience and also recommend different meetings for me to try out. It’s just a testament to show that everyone who works here doesn’t just consider this place as their 9-5 job, they Really do care! I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants to take that difficult first step in recovery, you will not regret it!

I couldn’t be more appreciative

This facility has brought hope back into my life. I was hopeless while in active addiction, and through the help of the entire staff in Adcare, I was able to reclaim my life. Every single staff member that I encountered was genuine, sincere, and kind. They truly wanted to see me succeed, and would go out of their way to provide me with any and all services that were needed. Also, the facility was very accommodating, with a kitchen staff that made sure I was well fed. This place saved my life, and I couldn’t be more appreciative.

I’m so happy I decided to choose Adcare RI. Everyone especially the staff were so welcoming and understanding. I didn’t know what to expect being my first time ever being in a detox and residential program. I’ve met so many people and made a ton of connections. They run a great program here. The food was a lot better than I thought it was gonna be. So many activities from yoga, acupuncture, gym, ping pong, basketball , and plenty more. Very grateful for my stay here. Feel so confident on my future in recovery. I’d also like to thank my counselor Karen and my case manager Scott for building me a strong foundation to be successful in my recovery journey leaving here. They work so hard to make sure you have what you need and what you need to get better and live a better way of life.

This is by far the best place ever. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They made sure that if I was feeling comfortable from withdrawals, they would do everything so I could feel much better. The food is great. It is cooked on site. Groups are also amazing. The counselor are great at what they do do. And if you’re seeking aftercare they will find you a place. I was sent to Rockland Recovery.

Incredible staff who went out of their way to give me the help and care I needed. Scott was an amazing team member who busted his butt to get me the after care plan I needed to set me up for success in my recovery. A caring staff, like Edmund, Jane and Sarah, who immediately made me feel welcome and was empathetic to my needs. Incredible nurses like Sharon, Sabrina, John, Soda, Justin, and Wendy that went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable during treatment. My recovery coach Hanako gave me the tools I needed to live a fulfilling life without any substances. Thank you to the amazing staff for all they did.

My experience at AdCare RI was life changing. When I walked through the doors for my first time ever in treatment I was terrified, my body was trembling and my anxiety was through the roof. The staff at AdCare took the time to settle me down and settle me in, they encouraged me to be involved in every group possible but never pressured me or forced me into a group or conversation that may have made me feel uncomfortable, because I was already extremely uncomfortable. One of the counselors encouraged me to sit in on Commitment my very first night and I’m so glad that I did, hearing stories from members of AA that had 30+ years of sobriety gave me the motivation to be open throughout my entire stay. The staff promoted sharing our stories and getting comfortable being uncomfortable because dealing with underlying issues that drive people to use drugs or alcohol to cope is the most important part of recovery. I am forever grateful for the entire staff at AdCare, from the counselors, the nurses, all the way to the kitchen staff, I was welcomed like I was a part of their family. Being pushed to engage with my peers and open up gave me the opportunity to learn soo much from each and every person I was there with. AdCare will always have a special place in my heart and everyone in recovery should remember to live life on life’s terms and take it one day at a time.
